Goodwin

Sorry but your comments make it sound like UK lost the game. The game I watched UK won by 24 points. Even with the TD from Brown UK still would have won handily. Don’t forget UK gave up a score with the goal line interception. Stunts combined with a pretty good well coached team made the O line less effective . I believe this line will improve markedly soon. Whaaatttt?????? Lost the game????

What the heck? We are discussing how poorly the Oline played and how poor the run game was. Both facts by the way.

We beat a MAC team. Now we play a top 10 SEC team that we rarely ever beat. How the Oline performs will have a lot to say about our chances to win in the Swamp.

So, kinda big deal. Stop twisting my comments to fit your narrative. Thanks.

Can y'all quit slinging shit like chimps for long enough to have decent discourse about the OLine?

Is not as awful as K says and not as good as others say... at least until we have more data. Lord almighty.

So we're shifting Horsey, a veteran who has tackle experience... to LT. Burton graded well last game. The coaches are literally putting the best players on the field to guard Levis, and I doubt they never anticipated this being an option. We were going to experience some inexperience bumps since Wolf never rotated. Furthermore, I've seen some folks (on this board and social media) go as far as to blame Schlarman for this mess. Frankly, disgraceful. God forbid the man facing his last months giving his all to this program (which hadn't had a passing game pulse in years) didn't magically prepare the OLine for this season while puking his guts out before practice.

The line is Yenser's mess to clean up after Turncoat left for crimson pastures and salted the earth on his way out. Let's maybe give the man from the NFL who probably knows more about this stuff than us a little grace. Hm?

The doom-posting becomes a bit much to bear. We aren't Rupp Rafters. Let's act like it.

I wish I could give you 100 likes for this post!

The line play was poor. I imagine it will get better. Good enough against Florida?
Maybe not.
Miami was likely better than we anticipated, we weren't as good as we thought.
Whether we want to admit it or not, it takes a spell for an Oline to pull together. Usually you are replacing one or two...but we just ran into a bad timing spell.
Will this line pull together enough to be a dominant one???? Hard to say.

Will the coaches expect them to??? I'd say pretty much bet on it.

10 wins the way it played game one? Nah.
10 wins playing better and no more major injuries? Could be.
Saturday tells us more.

Didn't we have trouble last year early on with the outside zone blocking scheme? I seem to remember C-rod really struggling with it as well early on and we had to go back to our previous scheme (even with Kinnard, Fortner, Drake, etc.). Seems we are biting the bullet again and making that jump with a new group that is much less experienced than last years oline. Hopefully we can pick it up and reduce mistakes this week. Not crazy to expect a mostly new group to clean up some of the mistakes from week 1 to week 2. Just hope FLA is not too talented to expect a big jump this early on.

Good God people we won by 24. Spread was 15. Calm down. Yes, we have issues, but dam, trust the coaches at this point.

Goodwin is and probably always will be a RT, Never seen him play but he is a huge guy and most huge guys play RT because they don't have the quickness of a smaller guy. UGA has had 5* RT who was huge and a lower ranked LT. Blind side OT has to be able to move, no idea about Goodwin's lateral movement is so I could be completely off. But one game into his career is a little early to make any determination on his ability.

I guess I was surprised he didn’t play because he was #2 on the depth chart and the guy in front of him looked so bad
