Easily, especially given the time of the season and the place.
Plus, no Thiero in a game where we desperately needed a guy like Adou.
Here's the million dollar question: what happens if/when Bradshaw and Edwards really take that next step?
We could be scary good. The potential on this team is almost limitless.

I like that we don't have to play @Tennessee until March. We'll be a much better team by then, which, if you're a Tennessee fan, has to be a bit terrifying.
I really think the last thing, aside from just the natural improvements that come with game reps, is figuring out who our go-to guys are. I'd say Shep is one. Tre is probably one. Is it DJ, or is it Dilly? That's probably the bigger question. We likely need to settle on one, a little more than the other, just to get the most out of our PG spot. Just my opinion. But if we can get DJ or Dilly into a Wall/Fox type of guard, then everything opens up.
When they have hansbrough on their when Kentucky wins its the best, because he looks like somebody killed his dog in front of him.

Man I’m hoping for it just not seeing it with Edwards. Bradshaw plays with passion but Edwards just seems so timid and laid back
Tennessee will be right there and will be tough to beat. I believe our 2 game series will determine the champion honestly. We need to steal a win in Knoxville.
I don’t know how good South Carolina is but even they are like 12-1, there are 9 teams projected for a tourney bid right now, we gonna have some tough games for sure.
DJ is becoming a go to force with his drives to the basket. Good things usually happen when he goes to the rim. He has a knack for shaking free out top with some handles and finishing rather crafty when he gets there. His shooting percentage has been excellent the last two games. He's rounding into form.
Goodman won’t get past Reeves transferring will he lol. He brings that up every single time.
DJ is strong going with both hands, He goes left more than he has too but with his ability I can see why, it just doesn’t work like it did in high school as much. Now he’s figuring out the best times to use it.
I actually think that was our 2nd or 3rd toughest road game of the SEC slate, and yes probably 5th toughest of the schedule.
Going into the season, I had this as the rankings for toughest road games:

Thought back in October that this would be an easier one. Now, re-evaluating based on what we know now, I would go:

Think this UF win is going to be right up there with the better ones we get this season.
Not many teams will be capable of going into Gainesville and winning. I actually think they might not lose another game in Gainesville this season. Auburn might be the only other one capable.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing heading into the SEC. It's not that Florida is all that great, it's that this UK team has huge upside with so many freshmen gaining experience, improvement, and confidence and this game being the first game in the conference. If this game had been in February, I wouldn't have been as concerned. That was a huge win. This team has already been playing well but they're improving game by game.
I honestly think this is gonna fluctuate game to game with how many good options we have, but I agree I want Tre and Shep in there 99% of the time in late game situations. And I love DJ for when we need someone to just go to the rim and get a bucket. Then it kinda just depends on who has it that night and what the situation is.
Feel like Bradshaw will get there though and he’s made huge plays at the end of our two biggest wins.
Yep and Arkansas isn’t one of them. Also, UGA has a damn good record as well. LSU beat TAMU on the road by double digits. May be the best the SEC has ever been, top to bottom.
Anyone else hoping for an NBA lockout/strike so our players can come back? This is the first time in YEARS that I have to keep myself from getting too excited too early. Although I like next years class, too.
After the smack down at rupp last year, auburn is going to foaming at the mouth when the cats come to town.
There's only one thing to do with a rabid dog that's foaming at the mouth. Take it behind the woodshed and put it out of its misery.
These Cats will do just that when they travel to Auburn.
I'm not gonna lie, I preferred the SEC when we had 12 or 13 wins locked up for sure (out of what used to be a 16 game schedule) and one other juggernaut like Arkansas to worry about. I preferred the top-heavy schedule where we blew SEC opponents out by 10 to 20 points each night. The SEC being trash amongst 80% of its teams seemed to have no effect on our tournament success, as some of our best teams flourished in years when the SEC was so-so among 80% of its members (1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2012). That was just my personal preference, though.

its a great sign this team doesn't turn the ball over very often. Need to keep the assists numbers up but not turning the ball over will always keep them in the game

Same here!!! I been waiting for NC sports betting to become legal, was supposed to happen Jan 8 (today), but was told this weekend there’s been a delay and it may not until spring.
Said it in another thread but IF this team continues to gel and guys improve individually this team can be every bit as good as Cals best teams at UK. 💯

We have learned that Sheppard and Mitchell are the type of players that can get you over the hump for a championship. Consistent and mentally tough to go along with their skills. So many players not like that and we have two.
I’ve just read many posters kinda rag on the SEC recently, saying we should win the SEC fairly easily. I do think we win the SEC this year. However, it’s gonna be a much tougher league than maybe many had first thought. USC, Ole Misss, UGA, etc. have kinda came out of nowhere. When there’s 9 projected NCAA Tournament teams, with Arkansas not being one of them, that’s telling. They were ranked top 15 preseason IIRC.
Has Arky played themselves out? I've not seen them play, nor really made mention of?
I got UK to win SEC at +1600 Pre Season. Wasn't totally confident when I made the bet but feeling much better now about it. 😁
Best team Kentucky has had in several years IMO. Legitimate SEC title contender plus much more.
SEC is gonna be a fight. Ole Miss and IT are good. A&M Sat will be tough.
I can see us winning the regular season but maybe not the SEC tournament, or vice versa. Win both and we should be a number 1 seed. win one or the other and a 1 seed will be a bit of a stretch, but I see a 3 seed being our floor as of right now.

You don't have to win in Knoxville, but you gotta win at home. Don't lose anymore than 3 SEC road games, and win all your home games. That will win the SEC. Tennessee is gonna lose some games on the road. They can become offensively challenged, and when they do that in a hostile crowd, they are gonna lose.
