I used to work in Eastern KY and have a soft spot for good hearted UK fans. For a long time it seemed like you were the only other fanbase in the SEC that cared about basketball. I have several friends who are UK fans. I really think you guys hired a good coach. Don’t mean to offend you.

Your coach prepares games very well.., after Vandy contacted him he didn’t prepare at all against Duke. JMU could have easily win that game with right preparation. He did wrong by the JMU players and fan base….
He still prepares games very well .. in every detail and now at Vandy where he has access to deeper pockets and influence his arsenal of game preparation expanded to not allowing shoot around for opposing team and interesting non calls sequence from Mike Nance…

It gave us Four Final Fours, a National
Championship and made us a national force again for 10 years.
The last five years weren’t great but I wouldn’t trade those first ten for much else basketball wise.

We almost did bring in a forth one two weeks ago. Was looking at us through the backdoor glass. My husband and the cats all know there's a limit of 3, so all of them were looking at one another.3 or 4 cats is the limit otherwise
Honestly, most UK fans couldn't possibly care less what the head coach does for the Commonwealth. He's there to win games and championships. Cal forgot that a long time ago.
He sure seemed to prepare them for Wisconsin! They were a 12 seed on the standard NCAA two-day spacing. In fact I think it was Friday night to Sunday afternoon if memory serves. How would you distinguish a team that didn't prepare at all for the 2nd round from an underdog that pulled a huge upset, ran out of gas, and lost to Duke? (It's a sincere question. I'd be bothered if I thought he tanked a game through indifference.)
No doubt "people close to VU" had backchannel communications with "people close to Byington" for weeks to "gauge interest." That's how it seems to work these days. That doesn't mean that he neglected to coach JMU.
VU offered a choice of rescheduled times last night. UK declined them. If that's the difference between winning and losing then maybe declining the rescheduled shootaround wasn't the right call.

Vandy happened when he got two big “recommendations” one via family ties and one via brotherhood connection becoming official interest during the tournament…
Yes, a small team like JMU had a coach incapable of preparing for two games in a row especially when the family ties helped him prepared for the Wisky game…..JMU never played in Sunbelt tournament…must be a true miracle for the same Coach to prepare for TN and Kentucky in a short time span…

I’m sick of playing like dog water in the first half but again we fought back. If we put two halves together we may be good again. I knew that would be a tough game, congrats.

I think y'all have some good parts and getting Carr back is going to be a huge deal. I still think Brea needs 10 shots every game, dude is eventually going to catch a heater and change games.
