Good day for the SEC

SEC is dominating. Shout out to Dayton as well. Now have wins over UConn by 18 and Marquette. Could you imagine a Final Four with 4 SEC teams. It really could happen.

Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Alabama, maybe even Arkansas. Highly unlikely, but if there ever were a year it would be this one.

I think there will be 5 teams better than Arkansas this year. Missouri is one. Hell, Vandy might beat Arky’s ass.

Oklahoma is 10-0 and 9-1 Missouri just beat KU. Outstanding.

13-1 if Bama and Oklahoma hold serve. 3-0 against the B1G. Thanks a lot LSU.

Gonna be a bloodbath in conference.

Go Cats!
Yeah, I've been talking to my sons the last few days. The more I watch these other SEC teams, the more impressed I am with a bunch of them. It's crazy how good this conference is. The winner of the conference will likely have 6 or 7 losses. I just don't see anyone running this gauntlet. I hate it for these Cats, too, because I think this team is special in many ways, but they're likely to take several hits here and many UK fans won't like it. Road games, especially, this season, will likely be extremely brutal.

We are gonna have to deal with it. If we make it with 5 or 6 losses we will be at the top imo.

Why would you include Arkansas? Arkansas doesn't come close to looking like a contender.

You are correct. Our team doesn't demonstrate the hustle or the toughness that some of the other teams are showing. I am not saying we are incapable of doing this, but to this point, we are not. As hard as Louisville played, we should have easily won by 20 if we played harder on defense. We were often seen watching their shooters shoot without making any real effort to defend them. We allowed them to feel like they were in a pregame shoot around.

And the conference is only going to look better. When we start playing each other every night, everybody's strength of schedule is going to push up. I'm thinking 10 in the Top 20. All those times we complained about Big10 or Big 12 teams getting too much computer love? Ha.

Just looking at the conference standings there are only 20 losses among the 16 teams with the worst record being SC at 7-3. Nine in the AP top 25 with 3 having a perfect 10-0 record and 10 with no more than 1 loss. Pretty impressive!

Need to bump this thread when we inevitably drop 7,8,9+ games in the SEC this year. Just getting above .500 in this league this season is going to be an accomplishment and signals your squad is Sweet 16 good

Been watching the Cats and the SEC for over 50 years and this is the strongest the conference has been that I can remember. UK better bring it every night because as many of you have said it is going to be hard to win on the road. Fla. will be a test on Jan 4th at Rupp.

I’m gonna bump your post when we don’t have 9+ losses. That’s just crazy talk. Auburn is a definite maybe, other than Auburn it’ll be our lack of hustle and play that beats us, not the other teams great play that beats UK.
