Gonzaga getting dominated by UConn

Eb is trying to raise $20 to take his girlfriend to The Pixley Diner. Lol! Those darn Green Acres writers, they kill me. Glad there is no basketball on worth watching.
Mrs Ziffel was often my last thought before falling asleep.

I’m afraid the zags are toast, for real.

UConn is making the kinds of plays champions make.. looking like a team that could three-peat. Defensive intensity is off the charts and they are running good offense here late.

One of my cousins married a woman from Poland,, Zofia,, and moved her to Ky back in the 60/70s.. Talked just like Eva Gabor,, and looked a lil bit like her.. Made the best damn store bought sammiches the county of Knott has ever witnessed..

Just wait until the SEC starts beating the snot out of each other. I can't wait!
Toughest the league has been in my lifetime. Probably ever. As a fan, you gotta love it. It only makes the Cats tougher when March hits. This is going to be exciting but also nerve racking as all get out.

Well at least the Zags don’t have many more losable games playing in that weak conference of theirs. Hopefully they beat UCLA.

So glad that Nolan Hickman backed out of his UK commitment. That guy ***ts the bed when the lights are brightest. His lone big play last week against the Cats was when he had to throw up a desperation heave due to the time/score and it was non pressured--due to the circumstances of the game. Tonight--Few yanked him after 12 putrid minutes of terrified basketball. Remember one of the reasons he reportedly didn't want to come here was the distance but quietly heard it was the spotlight. Few's best adjustment was putting his ass on the bench. Only played 12 mins total.

UK also very fortunate to not land Mahaney who is at UConn. He's terrible. Just terrible. Every single time he was in the game the Zags got any shot they wanted and apparently UConn doesn't like playing small guards together-so not sure why they brought him in at all-because he's never played PG at St. Mary's either.

Ike is garbage and played like it tonight on big stage too.

This is going to be a 2nd Rd exit for Zags in all likelihood this year. They aren't that good.

Did appreciate how both teams got great looks/shots out of timeouts. They didn't always fall but they really drew up some great stuff. Fun game to watch on a great day for games in CBB.

I don't know that we can draw any negative conclusions regarding Gonzaga.

UCONN will be top 15 come Monday afternoon. This was a "neutral" site game, similar to how Seattle was "neutral" for Gonzaga when we came to town. UCONN had the home court advantage.

Two good teams played. UCONN won by 6 in the end.

I wish Gonzaga had won it. I hope they can beat UCLA to close out the year and their non-conference schedule. But I don't think this buries them or anything. Memphis lost to Arkansas state the other day and bounced back nicely today.

They looked fixed but I don’t know if they have it this year. A 3 peat is hard.

Watch Hickman play in big games-he sucks. He doesn't do anything. He's a guy who gets credited for a calm demeanor-I think we've seen enough of his career to conclude he's just terrified of a big game environment. But hey-he got to stay home, play in a crap league--rack up a ton of W's and then gets to play in the NCAA Tournament every year and hope his teammates carry his ass. Nice gig if you can get it. Credit Few for finally putting his butt on the bench.

Ike was overwhelmed in this game. Just as he was a massive liability down the stretch last weekend. He's a non factor defensively and if he's not going to rebound-get him out as well. His mechanical offensive moves were just too slow and top tier teams can exploit him when needed. Few also adjusted by yanking him-another smart move.

Zags have 2 tough kids in Battle and Nembhard you can count on in most games. Ajayi joined them tonight and Gregg was absent and Huff had a few moments here/there. They will be weakened once they go into Conference and seeing some of the teams I've seen-that will face tough competition that will put Zags at a disadvantage this year come March IMO. Maybe they do what you say/win big but this team is a bit overrated and that UK stunner for them really zapped them.

Their program seems to lose these type of games in these type of environments too much for me, but each their own.
