Gonzaga… .oof

They're struggling right now and UCONN lost at home by Creighton. Auburn got lucky against Georgia, Tennessee lost to Vanderbilt, and Kentucky could have beaten Alabama.
All those other losses are not a surprise and some of them were SEC road games and Auburn is missing their best player.

Let me repeat what I said… SANTA CLARA beat Gonzaga at Gonzaga and put up 103 points. Santa Clara… .103 points.

This. Auburn kicked ass this week without Broome and not sure how anyone can debate otherwise.

Gonzaga with a dog crap home loss. 100%.

Yeah, I mean, there's a path where Gonzaga, after opening the season with a 38 point win over Baylor, misses the tournament.

They have wins over Baylor, SDSU and Arizona State… that's it. They just lost to Oregon state snd Santa Clara. Ouch.

They will get hot and win the conference tourney. They have too much talent to not do well in that league.

Gonzaga’s defense is as bad as ours.

I'm not going to argue they're the Lakers, but Santa Clara is a far way from unc Wilmington. Santa Clara is a quad 1 win on the road. Top 75 in the net. Not good for Gonzaga, but not crippling.

No, I'm not buying that. Santa Clara is 13-7 against a very weak schedule. Best wins are TCU and Washington.

Again, they put up 103 @ Gonzaga. I'll remind you, Gonzaga is a ranked team and they are ahead of us in most metrics, including the NET, but after this loss, they're going to tumble.

If Gonzaga was 13-7 and unranked, not a big deal, but that team has way too much talent to lose to Santa Clara like that.

It’s a little premature to write them off from even making the tournament, but they’ve definitely struggled more than expected since we played them. As fun as that game was at the time, that’s not really looking like a signature win on our resume anymore. Fortunately, we’ve kept playing pretty well and have gained wins over Florida, A&M, and Mississippi State that are all much better on the resume currently.
