When I have read all the national media back on the Cal bandwagon it is very discouraging because there is often subtle or blatant attempts to then disparage BBN. It needs to end and hopefully tonight it does.

Cal advancing in this tournament just shines the spotlight on how awful he has been.

Texas Tech is gonna be a tough game for them to win. They have two STUDS that are hard to stop.

And to a lesser extent, I hope BYU gets beat tn too. I enjoy watching BYU play but a perfect scenario is BYU and ARK get beat and we advance and clearly “win” the perception of the coaching change. IMO BYU was primed for this season either way even if Pope was there. Year 2 in the B12 as a P5 team is a big reason the money flowed in…not the coaching change. The coaching change only helped bc rich ppl are uber competitive and the Cal/Pope media circus roped BYU into the spotlight as well via association and the donors capitalized on the name brand association attention. The reality is, Pope played the BYU foundation by being extremely competitive in year 1 of the jump from midmajor to P5 showing that BYU could compete at that level…and donors are all in as a result. It legitimized the perception of the program on the major level

I’m still amazed that there are posters finding any reason in the world to create a thread about Cal. UK had a team in the sweet 16 and there are fans that think about Cal more than that. Truly amazing to me.
