Global Climate Changes

Unprecedented conditions. 99 mph winds and drought—-climate change? Probably

How ironic that liberal climate change ignorance is the major contributing factor to this liberal cesspool burning up.

More change. Constantly.

Yeah, it is the reason they changed the narrative from "Global Warming" to climate change. Even the ones getting rich off of that lie realized that their sheep would eventually catch on so..."Climate Change!"

Climate changed. Probably.

Imo the best climate change story ever is when the scientists went to document the disappearance of arctic ice but got trapped in all the ice they thought was gone.

Will be tough to top.

You have a hard time with the truth

This is funny. You don’t post the truth. You only post things that support the narrative you like. That avoidance is patent and is why you are called a troll. This thread has become about the rest of us filling in the gaping holes in your presentation. That is the truth.

the 99mph are the DEFINING factor on why the fires are an issue. no air support as a result. this fire has screwed over 20 plus families i know personally for decades, and many firefighters who are close family friends.

High winds during fires isn't a new phenomenon for California. Perhaps the sustained high mph is, however, this wouldn't have been near the issue it is were it not for the lack of preparation headed by Newsom and the rest of their liberal ignorant contingent.

Yeah, the high winds will speed up the burning, but ultimately having no water to fight the fires with is worse. It would just prolong the inevitable if high winds did not exist.

Thank you for some much needed sanity and intelligence. crazy winds and drought are a nasty combo

This is interesting to read, I think, as it strikes me as a fair discussion of carbon emissions with fossil fuel industry folks at the table. It seems there’s little denial of the effects of burning fossil fuels … the problem is what to do about it.

Preventable...definitely

Maybe don't deplete your brush removal budget for "green initiatives" and have your state sue to stop a president who tried to move water from federal lands to your city for this exact thing bc....orange man bad.

Or, maybe have some kind of plan in place at all. Remember, citizens voted to have water brought into the city...Newsom ignored it

I can’t speak to the politics of it. The extreme weather events are becoming more frequent. Scientists predicted as much

What do think works better in a crisis.

A practical response or an emotional one?

Looks like platitudes and pronouns didn't stop anything. Maybe paying attention to your powerlines and infrastructure as a governor instead of kickbacks to the power company and having a shortage of fire fighters because:

California does nothing to prevent, and actively takes steps to increase the risk of massive wildfires.

Everyone tells them forest and water mismanagement will lead to more massive, destructive wildfires.

Massive wildfires happen more frequently and cause more destruction in turn.

“See, these extreme weather events are happening more frequently, it must be global warming. We need to eliminate gas powered cars so these fires don’t happen so often!!!”

Scientists predicted as much. More fires, more drought, stronger hurricanes, more floods, etc.

Welp

The dogma has been challenged...Blasphemy!

I guess we'll have to wait for the next event to see if the messiah arrives: Jesus is the son of God, Muhammed is a prophet, this weather event is climate change!

OR, hear me out, maybe humans building a ton of houses and such in places that aren’t really meant for it are making the naturally occurring weather events much worse than they used to be. Add in states deciding not to take the mitigating steps needed to help limit damage by said naturally occurring events (ex: California politicians deciding not to clear dead brush or do any preemptive burning) and the impact of those, once again, naturally occurring events end up getting amplified.

No idea why I’m replying to someone like you, but it did need to be said.
