...the Cats have lost no ground through February 8 in All Time wins to preseason No. 1 Kansas, who was returning a preseason player of the year candidate and several starters, plays in a weaker conference and has not had the level of injuries Kentucky has dealt with. Exactly the same record through roughly 75 percent of the regular season.

Pope has done a good job with a bad hand, all things considered. Now, get healthy and finish strong.

I think all things considered, he's done well. Just stay healthy.

Seen what they can do when whole team is healthy.

There is no way anyone can look at this season, objectively, and think this was any way a failure. Have a little more work to do.. but we've just about exceeded all of our expectations despite being one of the most injured teams in D1.
I agree with you but we need to tweak your statement a but. There is no way any reasonable human can look at this season... We have plenty of unreasonable fans lol. Pope had absolutely killed it em with the handycap he was given.

When you think about the 3 main coaches involved before Pope was hired and where they are so far this season it's pretty amazing. Cal burned our program to the ground. Took all of our players and recruits plus supposedly had the best portal class and look where they are. Hurley has an established program coming of back to back championships. Drew also has an established program. We're having better years than all 3 despite having to build from scratch on the fly, playing in the most talented league ever and losing key starters to injuries in multiple conference games. It's just a great job by Coach Pope.

There is potential for this team to get healthy and peak in the tournament. We start clicking on all cylinders and forget about it.

Even if that doesn’t happen this season has been awesome and I’m extremely optimistic about the future of the program under Coach Pope’s guidance.

So far: It's been a rollercoaster season but the team, under the circumstances, with the engaged and exciting Coach Pope at the helm has been a GREATLY refreshing and rejuvenating force for me. It has been a good year !

It could become EPIC good. Just think "what if" and extend that to the impossible(?) dream of winning a title or even just getting to the Final Four this year. That would be epic in the making any way you slice it, were this team lift a Final Four banner inside Rupp. A very successful season THIS YEAR would be to win a game or two in the NCAA tournament before bowing out.

It could end up disappointing and poorly, but it would really have to almost be some kind of tragic thing to happen for it to be that, I feel.

I am optimistic and energized. Not a shred of doubt nor fear !
