Getting beat by 2 guys

I remember when we had 2 great guards and little other offense and Bill Self beat us with a triangle and 2
Gotta actually you know do that to win though. Cal will die playing the same defense we all know this.
Typical Cal, change nothing get beat the same way over and over. What a waste.
Cal can’t EVER stop the opposing team’s best player.
Agree 100% it is game in and game out that our guards allow the other team's guards to go off. It is simply piss poor defense, they don't close out on the 3 or try to deny the ball to a shooter and neither of our guards can contain drives to rim..very weak and lack of defensive fundamentals. Also a lack of effort..
Zone worked better than man and should have been working on it all year down too many and too late in game now though. should have working 0n zone press all year too.
How do you spring a zone press and a zone defense that you haven't worked on or played all year and expect it be as effective as one you actually work and play in a game during the regular season
He must not even draw up a defensive game plan. I knew Taylor snd Radford would kill us.
Would not have hurt to have tried it in the first half. The 2-3 zone is the worst to play against a hot three point shooting team especially when you haven't worked on it or hardly played it all year, 3-2 is much better. Cal finally realized that this team needs a zone and a zone press but it's to late.
