He averaged 15.6 points last season and about 7 rbs per game.Originally posted by uk78:

If that is the case I fear we are in trouble.I doubt that Newman wants to be on a team with Briscoe and UlisOriginally posted by RondoBaller21:
We need newman or we are in trouble.
If you're gonna link something, try linking his last season. He averaged nearly 16 ppg, 7 rb, and shot 47% from 3. Now you know something.Originally posted by uk78:

This^^^^^^^.....he wants a coach that will let him play out of position to increase his offensive opportunities... that's where Miss State and Howland step in.Originally posted by docholiday51:

Wrong. You looked at 13-14 stats, his frosh year.Originally posted by uk78:

Gotta love it when someone tries to dampen the mood and put down a recruit by using the wrong stats to try to serve his point.Originally posted by CatEye2010:

!n 14-15 he was 15.7 points and 6.4 rebounds and shot 46.3 (88-190) from three, 46% from the field and 80% from the free throw line.
I know you tend to be negative, but at least use the correct stats.

I like his hops, he can finish, seems to play D, and has a great stroke. Come on down, Mychal!

Not sure about the 'king' of presence but if he can hit 46% of the 3's he" jacks" up from the premiter he might be our 'ace' in the holeOriginally posted by Rhavicc:
Also, for what it's worth, his coach says that his defense has improved exponentially. I imagine that if Cal is able to bring any freshman in and have them buy into the system, he can get this guy to completely buy in and learn how to be a very good defender. This is the king of presence we need on the perimeter.
A good point,if Mulder ends up here just for fun who gets the most minutes Matthews or Mulder?Originally posted by Smashcat:
I think he makes a great addition. Doesn't have to be all world, just solid. He can jump and shoot. If he can't defend he'll have two years to learn how. The way he jumps he should be a good rebounder. Briscoe and Matthews are. Despite our size in the backcourt the past season the twins and Booker were poor rebounders. Shouldn't be the case next season.
Exactly . we have 2 of the 10 best guards in college next year with Ulis and Briscoe ( who is an absolute beast man ) . We just need one more guy who cand drain a 3.Originally posted by EliteBlue:
His stats from this previous year are very solid as a sophomore. He was recruited by the big boys out of high school (IU in particular) and choose JC instead. So he isn't a typical JC transfer. We don't need him to be the next Steve Francis. We need him to play within the offense and knock down open 3s and 15 footers and play defense. At those % he seems to be able to do that while playing within the offense.
I think Mulder because he is the better shooter.Originally posted by docholiday51:

Ulis and Briscoe are "locks" to be here next year and why Newman won't be here.Originally posted by caneintally:

Not saying that at all,I don't think he would want to play on the same team with Ulis and Briscoe. It would be great to have him,you can retract your WOWOriginally posted by bookerfan66:
