There's two big Cal comparisons right now in CFB.

Dabo and Napier

Napier isn't stubborn, but he's had Cal-like results lately.
Dabo just doesn't want to change.

Both are gonna be gone by the year's end if something doesn't change.

Napier is good as gone now. But I don't think Dabo is in trouble yet. Dabo makes 11.5m a year on a 10 year contract that was signed 1n 2022, they owe him 90m. CU isn't ATM and doesn't have that kind of money.

I don't think Dabo gets fired. I think he just leaves. He's made it clear he HATES the current state of college FB.

I don't think Kirby will be coaching 20 more years, 10 maybe. Just puts so much into it.

Just depends, he could end up an all time great if he keeps going, you never know what kinda legacy these guys want by the end. Money also is so much they may retire to enjoy it.

They would be dumb to fire him, they won’t be any better without him. He had 4 championship appearances you don’t fire coaches like that. Maybe they finally get him to take transfers.

Clemson has not been the same since Brent Venables left. They are currently mid to upper tier ACC, not competitive with the top tier SEC teams.

Come on man, we are not on their level. It would be amazing to play them in a tight game. It’d we beat them then yeah but you really believe UK is the team that will stop their streak?

The issue now for uk is we’ve had a couple of seasons coming into the game where We were in second place in the East so we were recognized as a bit of a threat, although unrealistically, and they come in just smashing us. The seasons before that where we hung around some they went with the philosophy of ‘just don’t give them anything and there is no way they can beat us’ but recently they’ve played us aggressively with more of a ‘score points and they can’t score enough to catch up. Point is Kirby has sold them on us being a physical challenge to them enough to where I don’t really see us getting their C effort or focus in any shape or form.

Yeah, I don't see them firing him either. But, they weren't great last year and they just got steamrolled (by an admittedly very good team). But Clemson fans have to be wondering if the jig is up.

They are definitely angered and rightfully so that he doesn’t utilize the transfer portal, the past 4 years they have had about 40 players transfer out and only 3 transfer in. They are the only FBS school to not take a transfer this year.
