Georgia - Notre Dame

I understand whining in UK game threads, but whine in these last two playoffs games has been hilarious.
That’s because you’re a big homer for the conference. You disagreed with the Texas targeting yesterday which everyone on here could even see.

You want Georgia to win. I want them to lose. Simple.

UGA proving a point I made all year. The TOP of SEC is down, for second straight season Big 10 school is going to be champion. SEC is arrogant and resting on past laurels

Bama and uga had spotty qb play. Thats their problem. Texas wont play their best qb.

Conversely the b10 really went balls to the wall on nil spending. I mentioned that in another thread but I didn't expect it to reveal itself till next season or two. Instead its here now.

We all knew they were paying a fortune for qbs but they upgraded speed all over the field. ND used to look like they were running in quicksand vs the sec, but not now.

The reality is the sec will never match those top b10 schools in spending. Will be curious to see what comes of it all the next few years.

Edit your post to admit the issue. You are not objective and cannot stand others being objective.

And, still crying about the refs not
giving you targeting when you failed to even mention the previous no-call on ASU? Dude, you can cheer for a team without being so one-sided. Lol

Bye bye

UKWildcat87 going to be showing up to point out this SEC team getting a bye and only putting up 10 points?

SEC wasn’t good this year yet the conference fans talked as if it was an insult to suggest they not be automatically crowned.

Hopefully ND. I’m an ND fan but more importantly I can not stand James Franklin.
It irks me to agree with this but I do. I just dislike ND. They are the Duke of college football, but I can respect their tradition. I really hate everything about Penn State and Ohio State.

I expect OSU to get there. If I am correct, I will cheer for them. They had the hardest path when they were arguably a top four team.

I love all the people dunking on the sec and Georgia intentionally ignore the fact they were playing with essentially their 3rd string qb. They lost their 1st string, 2nd string transferred to uk.

Ohh now we are doing this? Because that excuse sure didn’t fly for other schools but always an excuse for the SEC teams.

That same Georgia team with Beck needed a late comeback and OT to beat Georgia Tech.

Lol you are still sore over the noles rightfully being left off because they were garbage without their star qb.

Im not making an excuse. Im pointing out that people are intentionally not painting a complete picture because they hate the sec.

Iirc this is the first playoff loss for the sec where they were the higher seed. Albeit with a 3rd string qb.

But congrats on the sec losing.

Who 30 years ago would have thought the Noles would ever have an inferiority complex?

They were not garbage. Absurd. Defense was loaded. They played a third string QB one game and didn’t allow a TD and won by double digits. Got screwed over to get Bama in, and then their entire production opted out.

Bama didn’t deserve shit. Lost by double digits at home and needed a miracle to beat 6-6 Auburn who had just lost to NM State the week prior.

So the excuses made for SEC teams are rich. “Georgia was without their QB.” Well, clearly they should’ve been left out of the playoffs. That’s the precedent.

But I do like how an undefeated team loaded with NFL players (a few which are either good or dominating in the NFL right now) didn’t deserve it but the SEC always does cause of nothing but bias. And we are seeing how much that bias is being exposed as not being based on actual merit.

Not an inferiority complex to call out Alabama getting Duke treatment. It’s reality. It was such an absurd decision simply to get the SEC in cause there was no logic actually used to justify Texas over FSU.

FSU was ranked No. 4 in the conference championship week. Georgia loses. FSU beats No. 14 16-6, allowing no TD and having to use a third string QB cause the backup got concussed. Texas was ranked 7th and beats No. 20 Oklahoma State and somehow jumps 4 spots just like Bama does? Utter BS but they needed Bama in so they had to put Texas in. Texas deserved to be in. Bama did not.

But you guys root for the SEC. I don’t. I root for Kentucky and FSU. I don’t pound my chest for Bama or Georgia as if that’s a championship for my team.

Yikes. Never thought you would just come right out and prove me right. lol

BIG got big, fast, strong...they are looking tough this bowl/post season.

Dawgs out of gas, lives, magic. Pulled some rabbits out of their hat in a couple games this season.

Didn't want to see an SEC championship and dawgs horns 3 peat. That'd have been disastrous I think as far as ratings/interest.

Same goes for BIG rematch. Don't care about watching Ohio St blow out Penn St again. So hopefully one of them loses.

Anyone watched D2 playoffs I believe they have 16 teams 1-16 2-15 and so on. Sounds like a plan to me that has worked for them all these years

NIU 16 @ ND 14

How in the world does that happen?

Was wondering the same thing, but also wondering how did Michigan beat OSU in Columbus?

First thoughts on Semis is to take Texas at nearly 2-1 on the ML and take Penn State and the points, assuming they are underdogs.

I was against expanding to 12. But since they did expand. 16 is better. Eliminates bye weeks.
Seeding needs to be done by strength of schedule. Someone like Indiana horrible strength of schedule would be seeded 16.
Most first round games would be blowouts. Might get one upset.
But once you get to 8 teams with proper seeding. Most games should be good competitive games. With few blowouts.

SOS is a flawed metric. It’s circular bias. Self fulfilling prophecy.

SOS is often tied to preseason rankings, which are based on perception, not performance. Teams ranked highly at the start are assumed to be "good," and their opponents benefit from this inflated perception.

Bias of reputation- powerhouses with historic success (e.g., Alabama, Ohio State) are automatically assumed to be tougher opponents, even in down years. This creates a circular logic: "Team X played a hard schedule because they played Y, who is ranked high because people say they're good."

Indiana played ND closer than Georgia did and OSU closer than Tennessee did. They "Indiana sucked" argument is pure SEC propaganda.
It’s madness listening to it. Indiana beat the shit out of everyone and then lost to Ohio State by less than what Tennessee did. One loss team in the Big Ten and you got people saying they shouldn’t be in? 😂

But Tennessee is allowed to lose to Arkansas. That’s fine. Alabama is allowed to lose to Vandy and blown out by Oklahoma and that was fine.

Indiana lost by 10 to a team that just beat Georgia by 13. No logic to any of the arguments other than SEC bias. No actual reasoning.

Colley Matrix has a better SOS that disregards preseason rankings. Indiana's SOS was better than any SEC team except for Texas and UGA.
