We threw one slant in the red zone. No crossing patterns to the tight end. Absolutely did not utilize the middle of the field.
The straight fly patterns in the first half will not be as effective against SEC teams.
Any reason Barker hasn't seen time? Towles has looked like a damn bowl of tossed salad all game ... no idea wtf he is doing.
Burn the clock to 3 seconds and take the FG. Don't allow the defense on the field again under any circumstances.
Unless Stoops changed his mind, Barker was supposed to be suspended a game or two due to the off field incidents last year
I said it all last year that UK will never be good with Towels as QB. Didn't like him last year has not changed this year. This is the best we have then we are in trouble. How ever the QB coach is they have not improved him at all.

That's what I was worried about if we scored 7 too early. Two timeouts and 57 seconds is a lot of time.
That was Joker's last year. WKU easily handled UK 35-26 with Stoops as HC in 2013.
Nice busted tackle by Horton. The running game has been the one bright spot. Not what we'd hoped, but a win is still a win. At least I think we'll win, lol.
Last year ULL lost to Louisiana Tech, Ole Miss, Boise State, and Appalachian State by an average of 28 points. Ole Miss throttled them 56-15. It looks like we're going to win this game, but we barely escaped a Sun Belt team and I'm not feeling quite as hopeful about this season as I did 4 hours ago.
Can't believe people calling for Barker and blaming the offense when give up 33 to this crap team
i'll be fair to our offense, ULL was getting away with that defensive holding a lot on their come back but its funny it gets called once they tie the game.
We would probably have 60+ if Towles knew how to throw in stride instead of overthrow or behind.
Im not in panic mode. We won the game. We won despite adversity late. Not every game is going to be a sexy win. #AllIn
Towles wasn't sharp as he should have been in 2nd half...but 3/4 of the comments are about QB, not using TE, etc... Folks 33 points given up at home to this team is awful. UK can't just score 40 points all the time...you have to hold people and we come out in our opener and do this mess on the heels of last year's grease fire on D. DJ Elliott, Brumbaugh, Ansley, etc...have been alot closer Mike Major defensive outputs of Hall Mumme days of hold than a legit defensive staff.
The offense looked good. However the defense is pretty bad. Let's see how we do on Saturday if we can play a good game against USC then I will still have hope UK can beat Florida for the first time in my 26 years of life and make a bowl.
Agree with you completely, our Defense was pretty garbage tonight. But we could have had so many more points earlier in the game had Towles been able to hit his marks ... just not a fan of Towles. Never have been.
Big deal. I'd rather the d give up less than 30 than the O score more than 40.
I mean seriously we score 40 and we need a new qb? That's so far down the list right now. We can score in the sec. Stopping the sec from scoring is going to be a huge problem.
