That was fun, and you can’t ask for much more than that in any game. I am excited to see them step up the competition and how they do against size/physical teams.

Hopefully very few instances of playing down to opponents. Little to no more rock fights.

We're gonna have bad games. I hope we all know that. We're gonna have a game or two where we go, "Uh-oh."
But as long as we play smart and seem to know what we are doing we will be ok.

So definitely a different feel out there right? Everyone is confident to pull knowing they’ll get another great look in a few possessions. Travis Perry is going to struggle defensively especially against SEC opponents, but he “thinks the game” much like Reed Sheppard and shoots the shit out of it too! Would be awesome to see him as a 4 year player here, he would end up playing tons of minutes over that time. Amari Williams is a tank, he’ll be a steadying presence on both ends. So many strips and loose ball wins! Collin Chandler will be good, but he looks like probably our 8-9 man who can give solid minutes. Will be awesome to have as hopefully a mature 3-4 year player.

I think this team looks similar to last year's team. We had a really good offense last season no matter what some say. This team is way more mature.
You can already see that Pope knows what he is doing when it comes to the portal and recruiting. Taking players like oweh and Almanor when some people were questioning the decisions. These dudes can play the game. Cal didn't recruit centers like Amari Williams that can handle the ball and drive from the high post.
