****Game Thread Bucknell vs UK*****

I know Pope wants everyone to be ultra confident, but Butler and Garrison should not have a green light from deep. In Butler’s case, if he hasn’t been at least a decent to good perimeter shooter in four years of college hoops, it’s not gonna happen this year. Im skeptical of Oweh as well. However, all three of those guys bring some very valuable skills to the team other than perimeter shooting.

Maybe looking ahead to Tuesday a little but still up double digits.

No midrange is an oversimplification but I think a guy as athletic as Oweh, also not a great shooter, should pretty much always use space in the midrange to get a head of steam going towards the basket.

I did notice that Butler was on the floor with Krisa at the same time. I think only one at a time looks a lot smoother than both the same time. IMO today.

Can Carr play Center, so no Williams or Garrison, at times ??
I think Almonor played some at center when Williams was hurt in the exhibition game. I would like to see Carr get some minutes too in case we have foul trouble.

I mean that was pretty rough, but it's pretty obvious the focus on offensive rebounding is paying dividends, and even as bad as we shot the ball and had 7 turnovers, still scored 47.

Bucknell is a good team, even tho they don’t have great size inside. Their defense is forcing us to take contested shots which we are missing too often.

I completely agree with you brother. He’s got to h it open shots and finish in the lane or the defense will start leaving him and doubling our shooters.
Once again that’s why we got Kerr. That’s the part of having a complete team. One players weakness is another strengths.
