Game Thread 11-23

Brown, BV and Deion are the highest paid players with NIL on the team is what I have heard. One will be drafted and hopefully 2 will transfer and we can use that money for Real Offensive Lineman.

This, every year we are PRETENDING it's all a O coordinator issue.
And Head Coach......when you've gone through 6 OCs in 12 years, the common denominator is Coach Stoopid. But I'm not impressed with vanilla no creativity Hamden...but again Stoops may be tying his hands like he has all the others. We've had some very good OCs, they didn't forget how to develop an offensive scheme or how to call plays....you can't convince me that Stoops doesn't handcuff them. By the way...who is our QB coach?????

If you have seen him in the last few games, he is the real deal. Better than DK and BB right now, IMO.

He can actually get open AND catch the football.
Key has been good most of the year, Gilmore probably has more potential talent but key has been solid

Yes.
Any DC who doesn't know how to load the box to stop the run for fear of getting beat deep on a pass play........STINKS IMO!!
He also rarely ever blitzed, we've either not been able to recruit hood edge rushers or we don't know how to develop the ones we do have who were highly recruited like Fearbry etc.. We give opposing QBs all day to stand in the pocket and finally find a receiver that's gotten open. Whenever the rare times we do rush/pressure the QB they rarely complete a pass.

Sec may only get 3 teams. Texas, Georgia and UT.

Does that mean another acc team slithers in?
There’s honestly not a lot of great options for the 12th spot at that point. 3 loss Bama or Ole Miss with some fairly weak losses would be a really tough sell. A 2 loss loser of the ACC championship game wouldn’t have that impressive of a resume either, but I think they might still get the nod out of the notion that teams shouldn’t be punished for playing a conference championship game.

Smu another team that hasn't beaten anyone of merit.

I like the idea of a 12 team playoff but extremely weak field depth wise n year 1.
There’s never been 12 teams worthy of a chance at a title. It’s almost always 3 loss type teams. A playoff never should’ve been more than 8.

I agree. It will probably be Miami and smu from acc n acc title game. Miami just needs to beat Syracuse next week and smu already clinched.

And if a 3 loss bama can't get in over a 2 loss smu team (assuming loss to Miami n acc title game) that's best win may be UL, a team like UK has 0 hope of doing so ever. So as I've said, UK has to find a way to go 10 and 2 to ever make the playoff. Good luck.

As I think about it, 2 loss A&M could still be a dark horse contender if they beat Texas next week. That’s of course assuming everyone else takes care of business. Georgia and Tennessee will definitely be favored, but don’t have complete cupcakes to finish the season. If one or both of them lose, we’ll have total chaos at that point.

Refs cheating Auburn to help TAMU. Unreal. This is about getting another possible playoff team in.

TAMu defender holding a wide out in front of a ref in the end zone and no call.

Next play, Auburn gets to the two, refs call offensive PI, a bad call and negates it.

Changes it from a TD to a field goal OT.

Edit: Auburn luckily won after TAMU dropped an easy pass on the two point conversion.

As a kid, I just assumed USC vs UCLA had to be the greatest rivalry in sports. Behind only the white Sox vs red sox

It used to be fun but pro towns just don’t care about college sports like the southern college towns do.
