Game, season, Elite 8 on the Line and John Calipari did not call a timeout. I'm shocked! I've never seen that from him!

I remember him calling a time out late once and drew up a terrible lob play that failed miserably. He might be better off just letting the loss come organically.

Cal is terrible at letting his teams become offensively challenged with a lead, especially in late game situations. I know teams go cold, but his teams do it every year after the 5 or 6 minute mark.

when his mouth is wide open, and he starts licking his lips every couple minutes, he's toast.
You could see it on his player faces too. I said in the game thread man he’s getting tight again when it was 13 down to 8. You could just see how they went from free flowing domination to old stall ball and turnovers. He started yelling “I gat are you doing.” I didn’t know if there was enough time but there was just enough. The craziest thing was they actually hit the big buckets I thought would save him too. It doesn’t seem possible they lost with the shots they made down the stretch.

I think he wanted his boy Wagner to take that last shot. If he'd called a timeout he'd have to explain why he didn't set up a play for the guy with 30 points.

I feel like this gets way overblown.

Them not calling a timeout isn't the reason they lost that game.

You want Cal to call timeout to do what exactly? Draw up a play that will no doubt be similar to what they ran without calling the timeout LOL.

We've KILLED Cal's Xs and Os for 15 years year. But somehow we expect him to call timeout so he can develop a play that wins the game? lol.
