FSU - Oregon

I too would have liked to have seen TCU vs Oregon, but you almost have to put in FSU. They managed to win all of their games and were defending champs.

Stinks for TCU, as they absolutely trounced Ole Miss. But eh, sometimes it just goes that way.

And another turnover?

I"m just glad I don't have to hear anybody ask that about Baylor. Also, I wonder if Winston will ever recover his confidence. He's sort of in Randall Cunningham land. Uh oh, more butterfingers from the Seminoles.

I think the last rankings before the official ones came out had it right. FSU was still in, but they were 4. TCU was 3 and playing Oregon. That's the way it should have gone down. FSU hasn't looked good this year but they deserved the #4 ahead of OSU and Baylor whose losses were to really ugly.

Why the hell isn't Oregon blitzing? Winston has ALL DAY to find his receivers. FSU turnovers are the main reason they are not ahead in this game
They would be crazy to blitz. They're getting a TO every possession by forcing fumbles after completed passes.

You're definitely right on. I was speaking more to the conversations I've heard stating FSU should not have been in. The theme I've been hearing is that FSU didn't deserve to be in over TCU, not OSU didn't deserve to be in over TCU.

Is there a mercy rule in the rose bowl?
I hope not. The uglier this thing turns the more enjoyable the board will be to read and lurk.

FSU trying to set a record that will last for a long time. Largest defeat in college football play-offs. Might be going for the most turnovers in a game award too?

I only think their was 1 guy who posts here who thought they Fl St ranking was legit. Was upset how somebody could think they weren't that good because they hadn't lost in 2 years.

Never mind the fact they really hadn't played anybody and against those nobodies had to mount blind blowing comebacks combined with mind blowing stupid plays by the opponent.
Fl St should have lost several games this year. They are getting exposed now though.

Good deal. Bet TCU fans are pissed.

Herbstreit singing "party's over" . Kind of disrepectful to FSU defense "they quit".

Did Oregon or did Oregon not just GASH the FSU D with a kid who is in the game because it was his wish from the Make-a-Wish foundation?

Went to the Fl St board to check it out and I was sure a meltdown was talking place and I clicked on the game thread to read the comments as I knew their was gonna be some golden ones and the whole 12 page thread is deleted.

Classless, but not surprising. Indicative of today's larger society IMO.
Proof that if the media says it, the public takes it as the gospel. Bowl officials told them to head to the locker room so sponsors could be seen and set up the stage.

Bowl officials told them to not shake hands

Sad if true, and likely true, money runs college sports now. If true it should have been circulated a lot more, but then that might have made the bowl officials look bad.

The thing is, Alabama did the same thing. The same thing happens constantly. Auburn's whole team didn't come over and line up to shake hands after last year's Rose Bowl either but its only a story if FSU does it. Kirk used that moment to paint FSU as the villain like ESPN had done all year. If he isn't mistaken and make an issue out of it, there is nothing to see here.

^Lol. Not really. Danny Kanell and Mark May crucified (and deservedly so) A.J. McCarron and some of the other Bama players for running off the field immediately after Chris Davis' return in the 2013 iron bowl.
