On the season, Bama has a rate of 0.42 free throw attempts per field goal attempt.

Today they’re rate was 0.51.

On the season, our rate is 0.35.

Today it was 0.27.

It’s the little things.

Both teams playing at a high level. Same refs. We went one way, they went the other.

They attacked the rim all day. We met them at the rim all day and the fouls added up. Oats had a good game plan. ISO ball will work on KY. Pope has made adjustments all year so I expect him to address that again.
Because Butler, Oweh, Williams and Carr dont take the ball to the rim. LMAO , Bama shot like 7 more 3pters than us , so how many mid range jump shots did we take then if you think we didnt go to the bucket?

Your an analytics guy and approach from different perspective than I. Not meant as a negative. My perspective is they had the best two players on the floor toda and we lost

Wouldn’t say this to just anyone, but I’m 100% certain I know more ball than you’ll ever dream of knowing.

Wish I could still prove it on the court, but Father Time is undefeated.
You and I are just not the same. After a game like this all I can think about is the missed opportunities, the faulty execution, missed shots, turnovers, etc. All you want to do is blame the refs and claim we were cheated. That’s weird to me. That’s soft to me. Where’s the honor in crying all the time?

We will have to agree to disagree on the reason we lost this very good game to a very good team today

I'll give this to Alabama. They were more aggressove on taking the shots in the paint, much more than we were. Now, was that because our guys have become gun-shy after the last few SEC games?

Either way, what's the excuse for Cals teams that WERE aggressive at going to the hoop, only to be in immense foul trouble by the end of the games? And those teams put up half the 3 pointers.

Were running out of things to blame. It's not Cal, it's not freshman, it's not the plethora of assistants he had.. but it's now not Pope, it's not experienced players, it's not being nice to officials, it's not being mean to officials. It's not being aggressive, and now it's not being too complacent.

So what do we need to do then to walk away from half of SEC games having less fouls and more free throws? I'm all ears.

Are you asking me a question? I agree with what you’re saying.

Dude put the calculator down and watch the game lol. You just don’t know ball.
There comes a point in the game of basketball where you just can’t overcome poor or biased officiating with near perfection. UK scored more points off FG’s (81-73) had 6 more blocks and 3 more steals, had 2 less TO’s. UK had 10 more points in the paint and 6 more fast break points. Bama was 29-34 FT’s compared to UK’s 16-20.

People like you take the crooks off the hook.

It was a tie game with 5 minutes to go and they made more plays late.

That’s the narrative that is sold and people like you eat it up.

When we were rolling early in the second half, why did the whistle blow like 10 straight times against us?

Why was Bama allowed to do whatever on the other end?

If you don’t care then whatever.

You want to act like it makes you tougher to pretend like refs don’t influence games and don’t matter, good for you man.

I think that’s stupid. That’s how I feel.

I’ve seen the refs control countless games.

I’ve see a “rogue” official busted by the FBI. Nothing to see here folks. It was just one guy. Ever. Promise.

Believe whatever you want. If you ever played me on the court the last thing you would call me is soft. But that would be player called fouls. Was always more fair than refs.

Which of the fouls called on ky were totally unfair? I’m trying to see this bias. I’m open to new evidence.

Well, I’m a former player who happens to be good at…uh, anyway, would you agree they had best two players on court today?
Not really. I thought Oweh and Butler played roughly as well as Nelson/Sears.

Sears definitely won the neck snap game.

But whatever. It’s a team game, and Kentucky depends on 6 or 7 guys playing well most nights.

If you’re this paranoid then you may need to stop watching ball man because it’s gonna break your heart. Those zebras have many more years of eligibility than the players. You’re also starting to sound a little bit like Al Bundy. Four touchdowns in a single game forPolk high!

I think I’ll just not take advice from you. Since you were calling out Pope yesterday for not being able to recruit out of state five stars, I’m just going to assume you’re a troll who is enjoying this.

Please, help me get it.

I watched you try and say agressive play leads to fouls and I just nuked that entire theory by reminding you what type of teams we had the last 15 years.

Take a lap.
You still dont get it. And its really not difficult.

Bama shot 34 free throws and likely had their career high in % - doesn't suprise me one bit.

Rupp Arena continues to be an away team friendly venue for shookickers.

An easy fix here id that we have to put the students behind the opponents bench like 97% of other D1 schools do.

That honestly will fix a lot of this. Officials will be swayed into making some home calls. Sad it has to be that way..

This is what happened. Alabama was making physical drives consistently. We made a few, but not nearly as consistently as they did. That was the difference in the free throw disparity. There were a few bad calls on both end but we definitely got more than a few home whistles. We didn’t get hosed by the refs.

He can be incorrect about “A” but correct about “B”.

Bullshit bundy. I didn’t “call out pope”. I made a point and you didn’t like it but don’t twist my words to make it seem like I was calling him out. Stay soft.
