Freddie Maggard tweets interesting question

I was wanting to know if you was going to take back your judgmental comments about Stoops that were totally off base and wrong. And you know they were as well. It may be a different discussion for another day if you are a UL fan (I'm sure you are) but I was wanting to know ur thoughts on Stoops kicking off such a talented prospect off the team? And what players do you want him to kick off next? I'm sure you have a list of em which prob would be every one of our talented guys.
I can feel the fear from you guys 400 miles away.

To Bleedingblue, IMHO, my comments re Coach Stoops were on target and correct. Regarding the two players for whom I believe stronger discipline is in order: Hatcher's third offense and Barker's second offense go beyond immaturity, indicate they are placing their own wants and needs above the needs of their teammates, and place their leadership abilities is question . For Hatcher, IMHO, a redshirt season would be appropriate to give him an opportunity to get his act together. For Barker a multi-game suspension seems appropriate. And, if these two players cannot follow the rules of the FB program and the University, then regardless of their ability and/or potential they should be cut loose to make room for additional recruits.

To those of you, including Bleedingblue, who have suggested I'm a UL fan, I do like to see UL win when they are not playing a handful of teams I have an affinity for, but I am first and foremost a UK fan and believe my actions over the years more than prove it.

I've been a UK fan since I was 10 years old, nearly 60 years, in all likelihood since before most of you were born. In fact, until Rich Mitch ignored the FB program's needs for 10 years or so, while raising season ticket prices until they were beyond the reach of common fans and criticising us long-suffering fans with his "microwave" comments and subtle accusations of racism, I purchased FB and BB season tickets and paid the K-Fund extortion from the time Commonwealth Stadium and Rupp Arena opened for in the neighborhood of 35 years and attended literally hundreds of games, rarely missing a FB game, in spite of blizzards, freezing cold, torrential rain and thunderstorms. Although I seldom attend games now, I rarely miss a UK BB or FB broadcast on TV or the radio.

If taking issue with the thin-skinned portion of UK's fan base that (1) thinks UK, its players, coaches, and administrators can commit no wrong, (2) hates UL, (3) thinks player discipline should be based on how valuable a player is to the program, and/or (4) believes UK's coaches are perfect and their judgement is infallible and should not be questioned makes me a troll, then I guess I'm guilty. However, IMHO, blind allegiance to a program, cause, or an individual, whether in sports or life in general, is simpleminded and foolish. (Unfortunately I can't seen to come up with any less offensive or more palatable adjectives.)
