Four key position battles in Kentucky football preseason camp

This is exactly why there is a competition in camp. The most prepared player wins. This is where the basketball fan in a lot of our posters shows up. We see 5 star freshmen play from day #1 for Cal and then go to the NBA draft at the end of one season. Football is more complicated than dribble drive. In dribble drive, the best athlete gets to the rim first. In football, eleven guys work together to execute a complicated game plan. Football players require years of development, especially linemen.....

But let's not pretend like Destin has had an opportunity to prove what kind of a football player he can become. On the basis of one game against an elite defense, without CRod, that narrative is indefensible.
Exactly why football is such a better game than hoops. BTW, how many FT's with the other players standing around can one person watch???

Destin has had over a year under Stoops to develop. Net, if he's behind Sheron it's not lack of opportunity imo. That's nothing to do with his performance in one game other than to have a chance to further develop.

Wade is a terrible College QB. I don't think he could play behind the Cowboys 90's Oline. He'll be lucky to make it at D2...

I really hope Flax doesn't get the start at RT. He's way too slow and stiff. We have to have someone better and hopefully we can find him.

Surprised that Bryant made the two deep at safety. Figured the four would have been Lovett, Childress, Geiger and Dunn. Mentioned Phillips and Hairston, have been wondering how Hardaway would do competing with those two at the corners.
