Chris Lewis was a human highlight film for Troy last season, with one-handed catches being the norm en route to 10 touchdown grabs. He did it all with pain in his left leg that a postseason tests showed to be cancer.

What an incredible story, how it was discovered, how he played through it last yr. Going to be cheering harder for him than any non UK player this season.

I had esophageal cancer 5 years ago from years and years of heart burn. I was lucky that they caught it before it had spread. Still had chemo and radiation before surgery and then another round of chemo after surgery. I wouldn't wish chemo on anyone. It's a horrible experience, but it helped save me, along with radiation and surgery. I hope to God it saves him too. No one should have to go through what he is going through. A cure can't come soon enough.
