Dwight Perry started more NCAA Tournament games than Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham combined.
Well, they won't put conference opponents against each other in the first round, so that's out, but wouldn't doubt they're in our bracket.
As for Wofford, They're likely a 16 seed and maybe even one of those play-in teams. They went on a little run to win their tourney, but they were middle of the pack in their conference and have a 19-15 record. Duke beat them 86-35 early in the season. Congrats to Perry though, this season was about the same for him as last season up until the tourney. Don't think this necessarily deserves him a bigger job just yet. parlay this into a strong season next year and maybe that will be deserved. He took over Wofford in 2022-23 after their coach left early in the season. He was the Interim, then they made him the permanent coach last year. They finished 17-15 in his first full year. He's young though and could grow into being a good one. Hope he does.
I was at that game and couldn't figure out why he was starting instead of Bobby Perry. We beat Villanova in the 8/9 game and got thumped by Kansas in the next game.
You probably know this, but Murray/Paducah's Jackson Sivills is on that team.
