Key is great as is Brown. Robinson terrific. Tight end’s blossoming with new oc.

How about some praise for Chauncey Magwood? Td last week and several big catches last night. Young man moved to qb his last year in HS due to injuries. Started all 4 years - the first three as a wr.

I think this guy is quietly becoming a big factor!

I agree but he missed a couple blocks in critical situations. If he cleans that up, he will be pretty valuable.

Don't forget Dekel Crowdus... the coaches have praised him a couple of times during fall camp.
Idk, seems like he's buried on the depth chart right now.
This isn't basketball where Key and Brown would be 1AD, they've got two spots locked down for 3yrs.
Porter is our highest rated recruit and could be day 1 impact.
Several recievers will hit the portal this off season and it would'nt suprise me if we plucked one of the best from the portal.
Guys will take note of Wandale and Tayvion's success here.

Yeah his guy made the play on that one tunnel screen but seemed to me the guy simply made a play. He was on it before the ball was even caught. Magwood had almost no chance on getting the block on time, imo. Tip your hat, the one guy who has to make it made it.

May have missed others but I specifically remember that one.

Magwood shrugged after that. He knew he didn't do his job. But, guy still may have made the play. But he is showing to be a good asset.

Another young receiver they asked about on Stoops show was Crowdus. MS said he has talked to him about wanting him to play and do well. Had a positive tone about him.

Agreed, he's been playing great. Ky has A LOT more talent at receiver then in any year I can remember. We most definitely have the talent to do big things this year. Go Cats!!

Did Drennen move to running back? He's been disappointing for such a highly rated guy. He's barely seen the field in two years now. He and Crowdus will be in the portal at seasons end if they're playing time doesn't increase the remainder of the season, but with the depth we have, it's hard to see that happening. The players in front of them are just better.

Need a QB after Levis that can get them the ball. Is that Hogan? We will see.

At this point, I’m putting Drennen in the “great athlete that could never find a position” category. Has all the ability in the world, but doesn’t grasp any position on the field well enough to contribute.

With this being the last year for CRod and Smoke, it will be interesting to see what happens with him this season and off-season.

He isn’t tiny (5’11, 204 lbs), and he is pretty athletic. So, if he could add 10 lbs or so, he could be a real threat at 5’11, 215 lbs

Hope we spend the next 2 games winging it around to get all skill players catch opportunities. Oh and pad up the stats of our star QB.
As I suspected, in coach & player interviews yesterday several mentioned we will see young recievers on display Saturday. Bet one will be national track star Anthony, he will use 1 of his 4 appearances against Youngstown to maintain redshirt.

I think Drennon is a lost cause as of right now. The portal is highly probable. They decided to play a WR at RB over him so that says alot IMO
I havent given up on him but I was super surprised he didn’t enter the portal . IF he’s going to be a running back and IF he doesn’t get a good look while Crod serves his suspension, I don’t see where he fits in. Hope it works out . We’ll see.

I’ve heard he and Brandon White should get some snaps.

Just started checking the Twitter recently and his dad seems like one of the classier parents one could have. Very nice guy. Responded to every single fan tweet congratulating Chauncey.
I am almost positive he is former or current military. Looked like he could still play.

To be brutally honest, IMO, the same reason Smoke entered the portal but came back - the demand for running backs who haven't played much is next to zero. Like, not even getting an offer from MAC school low. Just too many good running backs out there, a dime s dozen.

Drennan should have listened to the coaches, who wanted him to come here and learn how to be a slot reciever.

I hate to say it but in years past when we talk about getting young guys in games we almost always play down to opponents. We need to go in with killer attitude and then hopefully let younger guys play!!

A lot of truth to that. I remember prior to the UTC game last year I heard Stoops saying in a presser that they hope to get named younger players into the game etc. It's a good plan, but unfortunately it sends a message albeit subluminal, to the team that they can relax a bit. We saw what happened there.

injuries can change that quickly.

That happened in the Austin Peay game in 2016. UK wanted to rest Stephen Johnson, so we started Luke Wright. We went down 13-0 immediately and put the pads back on Smitty.... and I suppose he went back to where he came from with 49-strait points.

So our current four star WR's are Key, Brown, Crowdus, Lewis? And two coming in next season in Palmer and A Brown. And still recruiting two more 4 star WR's for next year. Not likely but could have anywhere from 6 to 8 four star WR's next season. If Drennen goes back to slot he would be another one.
