Forget the Celtics, WCS might be legit at the 4th slot

Honestly think LA and NY swap picks and NY gets Okafor. LA needs a guy like Russell/Mudiay more than anything next year and they would be great long term PGs as well. There are some sleepers for late 1st/early 2nd rounders so LA would benefit greatly for that.

A move like that sets the Lakers back years IMO. They can always find a guard, and some should be available when the pick again in the first round. Guys like Jerrian Grant, The Wright kid from Utah, and a few others that I can't call their names right now. You won't always get an elite big man, especially a 2 way player like Towns if he falls to them. All 16 Laker titles have been won with elite big men. No need to change the formula now. If Kupchak/Buss make a move like that they should be fired on the spot.

NY may sign Rondo.

Willie should not be a top 10 pick but I understand why teams would tKe him.

I have to agree with the other poster. This thought is just dumb. When you have a shot at an elite big, you take it and worry about finding guards through FA or later on in the draft. Guards are a lot easier to find than good to great bigs. I'm sure laker fans are glad you're not in charge.

If he returned to small forward, doesn't that mean he was playing another position like, I don't know, power forward? His primary position may be small forward, but he most certainly plays power forward in certain lineups.
WCS has been here 3 years and you still don't know what he's capable of....

Players that bring it half the time are what got the Knicks this bad to start with. Mudiay is the best choice I believe

WCS gives Knicks something they need...defense, versatility, and open court ability...team player who won't need touches or any kind of say in the offense to stay happy...

Mudiay is a scorer, and may be a star, but they have that in Carmelo who may not want to share...

they can get a guard in free agency...Knight, Berea, Rondo, Dragic, Beverly...

WCS is a jump shot or post move short of being the undisputed #1...which he can develop with in a season or two...

right now he can hold the post and swat AD or come out on KD...the game is going to big versatile athletes who can run and score...teams are going to need guys who can hang with them...

the knicks have an elite scorer...if they could get and elite piece on the other end of the floor to contest the opponents best guy...that would be a step in the right direction...

I doubt he goes that early. There are legitimate questions about how serious he is about basketball, and his motor. Plus he still isn't much of a factor on offense.

Great point; The Knicks need as much talent as they can get. Rondo to the Knicks just makes sense. They are so devoid of talent on that roster.

As of right now, WCS is probably the choice IMO, as they need a defensive presence more than offense. Melo will take on the role of Pierce and Rondo gives them hope for the upcoming season.

Mudiay nor Russell will do more for NY than a WCS/Rondo combination. NY wants to win asap, not when the rooks get some seasoning.

That is very debatable, especially after seeing Rondo the past few years. Who knows what the Knicks will actually do, but they should take the best player, and WCS probably isn't.

There is a very good chance that several years from now teams will regret not taking WCS -just my blue tinted opinion and I am sticking with it!

Willie will be good where ever he go s to play..............OKC next to Kaner ....good fit
He'd have to beat out Ibaka, who I don't see going anywhere. If he beat out anyone it would be Kanter, but it remains to be seen if he's good enough to do that.

I would take WCS with the 3rd pick of the draft.... We'll see if that would have been the right place for him in about 5 years.....

He will be another player that goes to the Knicks and is never heard from again.
Taking him at anything higher than 8-15 is a huge gamble.
