Here is his dig in the latest "Forde Minutes"...

Coaches who should take the bus to work: John Calipari, Kentucky. Though touched by the extraordinary apologia from ESPN’s Seth Greenberg Monday night – he was tired, he was stressed, the same ref should never give both technicals – The Minutes would like to hear an explanation of what really led to Calipari’s spectacular meltdown and ejection three minutes into the game at South Carolina on Saturday. Cal didn’t speak to the media after the game (for the second time in three years following an ejection at South Carolina) and batted away the question on the SEC teleconference Monday: “I can’t talk about it.”

So we’ll just assume that the official who ran off Cal, Doug Sirmons, is a corrupt and conniving skunk who has it in for Calipari. (As have so many other people throughout the coach’s career.) That’s a handy justification for Cal so completely losing his cool that he had to be restrained by numerous players and was escorted off the court with his shirt untucked and composure shredded. Go with that one.

I actually enjoyed reading that. I don't subscribe to most of the conspiracy theories that permeate our fan base (and many others), whether it be media or NCAA, etc. But when you read that, there is no hiding the agenda. His contempt is out in the open, so no one takes him seriously.

Every since Forde was put in a corner by ESPN, I have basically forgot about him. Then he chose Yahoo sports over a corner at ESPN, and everyone has forgot about him. He's the exact definition of a hack. A few years ago on Facebook, I saw a picture of him that paralleled Moby Dick. I wish I took a screen shot.

This one with Forde, Tipton, Thameltoe, and TMZ?

That's it. I never got the TMZ reference, and didn't realize that was Tipton, but the rest is spot on. haha, what a great pic. That's really got to hit those pompous boobs right in their literary asses.

It really is. It's amazing this dude has no shame and no journalistic ethics. But whatever, after the last drivel he posted on line about Calipari, following a S. Carolina game, we went to the championship game.

It is amazing that Forde would think that anyone would take his babbling seriously, when he criticizes Cal for an undeserved ejection, but he supports Pitino and the undeniable corruption at UL. I know that he went to Yahoo, since ESPN realized what a mistake it was to hire the idiot, but I fully expect him to wind up at the Enquirer.

He's lashing out because his boyfriend Pitino is in trouble. Pitino must have made him sleep on the couch.

That was message board type rambling. Good grief, hes sposeed to be professional

Numerous players? Murray had him. Escorted off the court? Those are HIS guys.

Forde should have put in the disclaimer that, of the two of them, he is the only one to be censured and suspended from his job due to ethics violations. He knows full well that Cal can't give a press conference to complain about an official.

Forde is a has-been that never was but still has hopes of being at some point in the future. He is (barely) bright enough to realize that BBN basketball could be an important key in this quest.

It's Pat Forde. His hero is a man who knocked up a woman who wasn't his wife and then had her abort a child which resulted after a 15 second romp on top of a restaurant table. In other words, he's a caricature of a real journalist.
geez, why would fordy look up to some scumbag like that? what kind of lowlife would do those things. smh

Us BLASTING USCjr and re-emerging as a contender has made Forde mad... Love it. He , Goodman and GotDweeb need to get medication for their UK jealousy.

The part that got me was "as have so many people throughout the coach's career". Like he's justifying his own feud with Cal. Eff you, Forde. No one gets along with you, either.

When you have that much of a bias against someone, you should really stop writing about them. he needs to do a Cal take when someone asks him about John Calapari. "I'm not allowed to talk about it."

Must have been tough for him to watch UK dismantle USC then have ND take down his Cards.

Please quit giving this loser hits.

He has to dig at Cal., He's a no talent hack who's cash cow (Pitino) really went off the rails. His only way to get hits is cheap heat from UK fans.

Again, don't read his articles. He gets no hits, he gets canned

I agree with him being forgotten. Now can we please never bring him up here again or start threads with his name it so he doesn't get the publicity or in our thoughts. We know he's going to do this as long as we talk about him.

I think Calipari's ejection was planned and his tirade was pure theater. It is embarrassing for a grown man to act like that. (I've been a UK fan since the days of Cotton Nash.) Anyone in government, teaching, or business who acted like that would be fired on the spot and immediately escorted from the premises. The only provinces of adult life where such behavior is tolerated are entertainment and sport. But even there it's not without consequences. Christian Bale's famous harrangue turned him into a laughing stock for a week, and Bobby Knight's frequent excesses made him an object of scorn. The only saving grace for Calipari is the transparency of its theatricality. If it had been real he should retire and live on Xanax and blood thinners. The game isn't worth a stroke.

That piece seems to be a partial defense of Rick not not speaking to the media after yet another loss to UK. A rather weak try at that. Cal didn't coach the game so why would he be the one to comment on it immediately after? Payne would have more insight into strategy, plays, etc. Rick just ducked his presser because he is a sore loser.

The more interesting thing to me is the shot at Greenberg. That is no doubt payback for last summer - I can't recall the scenario, but Forde (again) called out Cal for some misdeed. Probably when he got word about Hookers In Minardi Hall.™ Anyway, he called out Cal - and then both Bilas and Greenberg called out Forde. It was worth a chuckle and nice to see. I'm sure Pat filed it away, and today is the reckoning. If only more people read his column......

I assume this is sarcasm.

I remember when UL hired Pitino. Forde and Bosich started this whole theme of how long it would take "Planet Red" to overtake "Planet Blue". Other than two years under BCG, the answer is never. Tubby had a solid winning record against Rick, Cal just owns him and their program is now going down in flames. As much as he would like, Forde can't save Rick and UL.
