Plan accordingly.
Yesterday was the most probably the most traffic I have ever dealt with over a one day period and very very little construction or accident related.
Coming from Louisville, we were planning to drive as far as Valdosta or maybe even into Florida, but only got as far as Warner Robins GA last night and it was unbelieveable the amount of cars on the road.
So unbelieveable that Atlanta was the EASY part of the drive. No issues zipped right thru....at rush hour!
Yet 3+ hours alone to get from Knoxville to Chattanooga!
Dead stops for half hour or more 50 miles both North and South of Atlanta.
Bumper to bumper for hundreds of miles overall and it was no different northbound as well (which doesnt bode well for this Sunday)
So words to the wise, whenever youre planning on leaving if by car......do it earlier.
