I noticed over on your message board some of you are talking that UMASS should vacate the decision to honor John Calipari because of the Marcus Camby case. My question for you imbeciles that call yourself UofL fans is this. Please tell me/us what a coach, any coach in this case Calipari had to gain by a sports agent messing around with one of his players? I mean its not like Cal and UMASS gained some kind of recruiting advantage from this. This agent giving Camby stuff didn't happen until Camby's junior year. In other words Calipari had nothing to gain from this. The only response I'll be getting from little brother on this is....... Wait, wait is that crickets.

Not only that but Cal was the one that informed the NCAA! That's right, not only is he clean, he's one of a handful of HCs that turned in his own player, and was nullified for it! Slick would NEVER do that, and K and Roy have proved that they refuse to cooperate with the NCAA! Cals the only one to do the right thing, then the NCAA clears Rose TWICE, and then turns around and vacated their NC runner up after the fact, yet 100% clearing Cal of any wrongdoing. I agree with what you're saying, but UofL fans openly support the most amoral athletic department in the nation, with the academic side of that University also involved in their fair share of absurd scandals, so I couldn't give less of a crap about what their opinion is of us and our coach. They need to focus on getting their own house in order before they even think about running that mouth about someone else. I'm not one to lecture others on family values/morals/whatever and I truly don't care what others do or don't do in their personal lives, but I also believe that if you live in a glass house then you shouldn't throw stones yet that's all UofL fans seem to want to do when it involves anything UK related.

I think I'd be a little more hesitant to think Jurich is honest and clean,sure the local media doesn't print any negative stories,Jurich threatens them into submission.With all the recent news and scandels coming out about treatment of women (including the Woman who sued Jurich and won for Sexual Harassment,you seem to have forgot about that),the treatment of women,stealing and embezzling funds in various depts,using hookers to recruit,keeping known cheaters like Clint Hurtt,rehiring Petrino,keeping Pitino after the latest smut,guess he gets 3 strikes,LMAO

Cal, on the other hand, raises millions of dollars for charity, never misses an opportunity to be an ambassador for our state, and has changed the lives of countless families by taking kids from difficult situations and helping them become multi-millionaires. His "sins" are having a player who took money from an agent as a junior, which Cal himself reported to the NCAA. And having a player who was declared eligible multiple times by the NCAA, only to have that agency later rule the kid ineligible over a test he may or may not have taken while in HIGH SCHOOL before ever arriving on campus.

But somehow Cal is the bad guy in this equation?

The meaning of this thread is rather cloudy, so I assume it is bait. But I walk into the valley of death unafraid. If the inference is that Calipari knew nothing about Cambys' agent because it did not benefit him, thus becoming an innocent bystander, I have one question: Camby supposedly received, jewelry, rental cars, and prostitutes, $28,000 worth. How did Calipari not notice this?
The answer is probably why the NCAA vacated the UMass Final Four. UMass has been terrible since Calipari left, thus the honor. Not the same situation at Memphis. Is Caliparis' virtue really something you want to champion? If I were a UK fan I would probably not boast too loudly about his ethics, or his tactics. He is pretty unique as far as the NCAA goes, factually speaking.
