I don't think Florida is going to be very good early on. They struggled last year and have a new coaching staff.Gets both at home in early Sept, advantage Florida.
Agreed. I'd rather play UF earlier in the year rather than later.I don't think Florida is going to be very good early on. They struggled last year and have a new coaching staff.
Exactly. As fans, how long have we waited to be viewed this way?
Utah is indeed like us, Florida will be beat up, roughed up by a physical mature well coached team in week 1. While we have a easy day of it against MACtion.
By kickoff week 2, UK might be the betting favorite. Imagine telling yourself that 15 yrs ago, or 30 - Wildcats favored to win, in Gainesville.
Amen. And glad to see you’re still around. As fans, how long have we waited to be viewed this way?
Wait … what? Is this for real? I’ve been down here in South Georgia for 8 years, surrounded mostly by UGA fans, and some UF, but married to a UGA girl and UGA in-laws. I haven’t heard anything about this Fred Taylor thing lol.Speaking of Florida. Did you see that blurb on Fred Taylor, former running back for Florida claiming that Georgia boosters paid him $50000 to go to Georgia but he kept the money and went to Florida with the money?
We're going to shit on them and I cannot wait
It was discussed this week on somebody’s podcast that he was on.Wait … what? Is this for real? I’ve been down here in South Georgia for 8 years, surrounded mostly by UGA fans, and some UF, but married to a UGA girl and UGA in-laws. I haven’t heard anything about this Fred Taylor thing lol.

UT and UL defense of all things dirty is that they are only doing what everyone else has been doing for years.Ole Fred is a Gator and they hate being in the position they are in. So like the rest of them will spew things without any proof. They also claim Nolan Smith was bought a Raptor when his parents could afford to buy him a Bentley. UF and UT fans want us to be dirty when the only one dirty is UT. They will be ac c using UK in a year or 2.
Irony is his very accusation makes him someone you can't trust.
Living down here I can testify to that. Florida fans hated it, especially the ones who went to road games up there. One of my buddies had to buy a parka one year when he made the trip and he never had one on in his life before that.We should have insisted on keeping the Forida game in November. Until recently that was the last time we had beaten them. They did not like coming to Lexington in late fall.
Hell, I'd settle for 35 degrees, windy, with a "wintry mix". That might be more likely, and probably harder on them than snow.Just once I'd love to play UF in Commonwealth during a snow storm. Just once.
Taylor thing reminds me of Eric Dickerson driving a Trans-Am bought for him by a Texas A&M alum while he was attending SMU.Ole Fred is a Gator and they hate being in the position they are in. Actually TN drew the template others used for decades to cheat. Was an art form for them.UT and UL defense of all things dirty is that they are only doing what everyone else has been doing for years.
Most people down here where we live are pro sports fans too. You'll see way more Jets/Giants/Pats/Eagles/Stillers/Bears/Lions/Packers/Fins/Bucs fan paraphernalia than any college. When we first moved down here we went to a sports bar on an NFL Sunday afternoon, and it was full of Eagles fans. It was like being in a bar in Philly. The dude that said that is nuts, even though Florida is one of the southern most states it had never been looked at as pro southern. Kentucky has always been looked at as more southern than Florida. Kentucky is in the upper south but it's ways are more southern than Florida and always have been. Florida is geographically southern, but we all know, the further south you travel in Florida, the less Southern you get. The majority of Floridians do not consider themselves southern and southern folks don’t accept most of them as southern. Southerners will ask from what part of Florida a person is from to really get a feel of how southern they are.
That was the last win before the LONG losing streak got started... Kentucky beat Florida 10 to 3 on November 15, 1986..Just once I'd love to play UF in Commonwealth during a snow storm. Just once.
Bill Ransdell was one of my all time favorites, guy was pine knot tough. That was the last win before the LONG losing streak got started... Kentucky beat Florida 10 to 3 on November 15, 1986..
QB was Bill Ransdell - who ironically was the son of my 7th and 8th Grade English Teacher and one of my favorite teachers from Jr. High.
I've been lurking for years. Still love this board, but it took up way too much of my time. Thanks for the love.Amen. And glad to see you’re still around.
Man, I remember you from the old AOL days. The main reason being, I come from a long line of carpenters and I always remember your carpentry work.I've been lurking for years. Still love this board, but it took up way too much of my time. Thanks for the love.

This season we are playing Georgia mid Nov. Zero reason whatsoever Florida in 2023 shouldn't be in that same scheduling calendar. Barring the addition of OK & TX blowing everything up.Just once I'd love to play UF in Commonwealth during a snow storm. Just once.
I was at that game, Tony Mayes was a defensive back for Kentucky and Ricky Nattiel was a wide receiver for Florida. I heard both of their names a lot that day. That was the last win before the LONG losing streak got started... Kentucky beat Florida 10 to 3 on November 15, 1986..

Kentucky is not yankee. Lol.Living down here I can testify to that. Florida fans hated it, especially the ones who went to road games up there. One of my buddies had to buy a parka one year when he made the trip and he never had one on in his life before that.
He came back cursing 'Why did they ever let that Yankee team in the SEC"
I would love to see it back in November as the next to last game. Right before UL

Well past time for Barnhart to push back at SEC offices giving out the implied political favoritism. Superior has been gone from Gainesville for 20 yrs, they haven't been a national title program over 12 yrs.
I wish we would break out those helmets once or twice a season. That was the last win before the LONG losing streak got started... Kentucky beat Florida 10 to 3 on November 15, 1986..
