Florida game time announcement?

So why don't we ever get a game in Lex against them in November? Seems the SEC brass thinks its kinda something.
Ball State, Vandy and Florida are all noon games.
Gotcha. I was referring to home games, but I get your point.
I believe it was 1990 in Spurrier’s first season coaching the Gators which was our last November home game against them.
The great football-minded AD CM Newton then scheduled us for two back to back away games vs Florida in 1991 & 1992, and beginning in 1993 our games versus the Gators have been mostly in September with a handful in October.
Players say they actually prefer the noon games, and hate waiting around for late games. But certainly you can get a crazier crowd with a late game.
Was totally expecting a evening/night game against Gators. I lost half my interest in attending at that time slot. I can watch this one at the house at 11am and then get other stuff done or watch other games. Idk yet I seen the tickets I had my eye on came down 25 bucks already.
Yes it does, I don't think they are and why pre season rankings aren't very accurate. But that the rules we are playing with now.
Noon on ESPN after Gameday is actually the “better” slot in terms of pecking order. Of course TV stuff doesn’t really mean anything. Noon on SEC Network however is worse.
Yes for players night games are torture. Stuck in a hotel all day, coaches really don't want them to watch other games and get mentally tired, can't really hang with family or girlfriends.
Better to wake up, straight to game prep, play, have rest of afternoon/evening to relax.
The other known fact is those kids like the noon games cause that go back rest after treatment and go get hammered later that night 🍺
True there. But one problem with the noon game I think many struggle with is all the soccer, volleyball, football, etc. Saturday sports kids and parents are committed to so the later game would be ideal but I get it, can’t get everything we want. I’m just glad we don’t have that sweltering humid Hattiesburg heat to endure this week 😎
So some of you guys think that when we go to, say, South Carolina, we stand just as good of a chance in a night game atmosphere as we do at noon? I'm not buying that. The Gators are getting just what they would want with a noon kickoff on the road. UF-UT at noon in the swamp instead of at night and it wouldn't have changed anything? No.. this blows and there's no way around it.
I have also heard offensive players say it is easier to track long passes in day games against a bright sky... as compared to a night sky (although illuminated by stadium lights). Our WR's are not exactly sure handed. Maybe this is the silver lining to an otherwise disappointing noon start.

Exactly. I have a couple of buddies that were planning on going but are out now for those reasons.
For those of us living outside of Lexington it also makes for a long, weird day. Gotta leave my house by 8 am to get there by 10-11 (depends on traffic)....then you get out of the game too early for dinner....but too late to get jack done if you try to drive back home. I have a room booked for a friend in from Atlanta. We get out of the game at 4 o'clock and drink till midight?? Go swim in the hotel pool? Sightsee in Lexington? Hit the bars for the rest of the day? It's just an awkward time frame for those of us driving a distance to the game.
Noon games suck.
You fellas will be able to get krunk and bet on some games with the sportsbook apps on your phones I do believe by then.
A few thoughts:
-There is no conspiracy here. Aubie / Georgia is clearly a more attractive game and the easy choice for CBS. After that, it gets murky. Not sure why Alabama / MSU is the primetime ESPN choice, as MSU will likely have 2 losses and Bama is a very shaky one loss team (and might be two by the time this is played).
-The third best SEC game is usually the noon ESPN slot. So, if UK / UF gets placed there, then that is a great TV slot for this game. If we land at noon on SEC, then this sucks. I'd guess that if UK and UF both take care of business this week, then we will get the noon ESPN slot, but I suppose they could give it to A&M / ark if ark upsets LSU this week and A&M holds serve against Aubie.
-With all of this said, it does suck that this isn't a night game. I think if UF had beaten Utah and we had two undefeated teams (with UF highly ranked) then we would have gotten the CBS or ESPN primetime game. But, now the key is to keep winning. If UK starts 5-0, then we'll get CBS or ESPN against UGA, will likely get a good slot for Mizzou, and then will get ESPN for Tennessee.

I’ve always heard the opposite. Early games favor the home team?? I know for sure that teams that travel more than a time zone are likely to lose as well.
Why is tailgating Kaput? We will be in there at the break of dawn, setting up our flat irons and cooking up some breakfast. Egg casserole, Hash Brown Casserole, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits & gravy. Gotta make the best of it.
Couple of you on here talking about how players prefer day games. Judging from performance, I'm not seeing where that's the case. Any data to back up this suggestion we play better in noon games than night games?

All that sounds pretty darn good to me. I would grab some biscuits, gravey and sausage and be a happy camper. My favorite meal.

If gravey and biscuits were served at all these high level meetings we would never have any conflict. Everyone would be in good moods and willing to compromise
