I wonder if this is the beginning of a mass exodus in Gainesville and their recruiting going to crap; gives Mullen credit but says nothing about Napier. It would be a good time to pounce on that state after we beat them again and I can also see this leading to FSU once again taking command of the in-state kids. Napier seems like a really good guy but I didn’t think he was a SEC level type coach, looks like UF has taken the same route as UT with their coaching carousel and they’re taking a hard hit like the Vols did. Can’t say enough about how fortunate we are to have our program stability with Stoops being here for ten years.

No matter how disastrous their 2023 is, he won't be fired. Owed $32M. The AD who hired him also hired Mullen - he would have to be fired first!

Napier returns in 2024 irregardless the 2023 results- will have to fire a bunch of staff, give up OC playcalling, hire an independent OC (like Jimbo with Petrino).

Enjoying the crash & burn!

Yeah if the AD wants to keep his job, he has to give him more time. Good call.

I should have mentioned SC along with UT and UF, they ended up sticking with Muschamp too long imo. I know they’re excited about Beamer but he’s 7-9 in the conference and makes some terrible in-game decisions, also finding out you can’t play in this league without an o-line with depth. With what I witnessed in the NC game, he’s probably going to have a hard time winning seven games and probably 3-5 in the conference at best. I honestly hope they stick with him 4-5 years but I’ll bet his seat gets hot sooner than later.

I don't like Beamer as well. But the people in South Carolina are crazy about him! He's recruiting really well. Before we all go crazy here - remember what Stoops record was in years 2 and 3? Started 5-0 I believe and finished 5-7? Remember when the win over Mississippi State (think i'm right on that opponent) supposedly saved his job in year 4? I remember some stupid in game decisions in the early years here with him. Remember not once, but twice, Florida receivers left wide open in a game we seemingly had sewn up? Coaches can improve! But again - I'm with most Kentucky fans - Beamer rubs me the wrong way! Love Coach Stoops and his approach to the games now!

Go Big Blue!
