So we play Florida on Wednesday in Rupp. Last game in Gainseville was a battle. What adjustments do you anticipate from both teams? Will the fans bring a home court advantage? Will we get a beneficial whistle? What do you anticipate?

I sure hope these guys aren't looking ahead to UT (like I am.) 😉

It’s a classic trap game. UK coming off a win in rowdy Bud Walton, with SEC foe and top ranked Tenn looming on Saturday.

I’d expect a close game, with the Cats pulling away in the last 10 minutes.

The decision tree:

Is Florida more muscular than UK?

<yes> They play slow down bully ball. Kentucky scores a 7 point win.
<no> Kentucky scores over 90 in an 8 point win.

We played Florida at their place three weeks ago.

The final score was 87-85.

Florida is #19 nationally in adjusted tempo. They don't slow it down.

I would love to see us alternate the offense throughout the game. Run and gun and then punch it down low. Change it up some. If three 7 footers can't pound it down low I would be shocked. Keep the other teams off guard.

UF needs this win. This service has them on the outside looking in.

I respect Florida simply because they won't try to slow it down or physically muck up the game despite having less talent. They just play straight up, they're not trying to mug you, bump you, grab you like South Carolina and Tennessee will. Our offense should benefit from that at home. I expect another high scoring, close game against the Gators

I think we win by 9 or so. Interested to see how many minutes Big Z will get back at home. He sure looked good the last time he was here.

Cal said Rob is ok and looked good in practice. Also said Burks has improved a lot. Spends his off time in the gym. Would like to see him play some.

Kentucky gets the offense going, and wins by 15.

This will be a tough game. Florida will be out for blood after the last meeting. I still think we win but it will be a close frustrating game. 82-78 Cats.
