Five-star center Marques Bolden's drop-step lefty hook is clutch

I'm glad you posted that. Based on previous clips I feared that he had no vertical game. That clip seems to prove otherwise. Welcome to UK big fella.

Whoa. I've heard the Dakari comparison, but he gets up WAY higher than Dakari. Looked impressive.

Yeah, based on previous clips, I envisioned "early" Dakari, i.e. getting his shot blocked repeatedly on layups. I think there's still potential for some of that, but Bolden seems to have more lift than I originally saw....

He looks good in the highlight films. I am looking forward to seeing him in the all star games; and, of course, I would like to see him as a Cat. Go Cats!!

If we sigh him, I think it would be the best recruiting class in history hands down. I'm not sure we don't have the best already, but adding Bolden would remove all doubt.

Yet another late landee'

KU in on Fox AND Bolden WAY BEFORE UK.

Heck, for most of his high school career seemed to be KU in a landslide for Bolden....then Duke was all the rage back in Aug. Then slowly it swung back KU's way especially after his Late Night visit...and then it just kind of held steady 'til about late Dec. or so when over the last maybe 4 weeks or so it's headed to UK being in the majority for pretty much the 1st time.

I think when he hadn't seen Humprhies or Wynyard in large parts of the rotation his hope of getting a lot of mins. at UK was restored.

I don't see any comparison. But, these mix tapes aren't the most helpful. We have seen mix-tapes of guys that look like superstars and can't even make a college roster.

Hmmmm...I see someone in those clips that makes me thing he'll struggle early on. Can't put my finger on it. Plenty of upside, of course.

Likewise when he didn't see Diallo or Bragg in KU's lineup his fear of sitting out his freshman year was confirmed.

I've been saying this for a while. Bolden is the real deal. In another class he'd be ranked top 10. He's Nothing like Dakari. He's a middle class man's Jahlil Okafor with a hint of Randolph Morris. He's gonna be a beast next year. He'll start and probably average 10-12 pts, and 6-7 rbs on a loaded team. He's a true low post scorer and that's one thing we are missing for next year.
