Filing Ties Cliff Alexander's Mom to Financial Firm

Sounds like a pretty minor violation, especially if the mother didn't know it was a violation.

SAG, are you being sarcastic or serious?

It is the responsibility of the university to explain to the athlete and his family about what is illegal. This one is clear. I don't think she can claim she didn't know unless her son went to Duke.

Sounds like Kansas played an ineligible player. It doesn't matter if they knew or not. Strict Liability means they need to forfeit all wins that he participated in. Will it happen though? Not likely.

They can't explain everything that is a violation. That book is huge. This one could be one that is emphasized though. I don't feel passionately about it though. If it is, that's fine.

I am sure coaches tell the players and their families that you are not allowed to take gifts (money, cars, etc). That is probably rule number 1 that you don't break. That is the single most important rule to remain eligible. There is no excuse to break that rule while in college. I could see possibly not knowing in high school, but surely their high school coaches know the rule as well since it would make them ineligible in high school to.

Well placed her sir!

I see this as a major violation and a default on every Kansas win that Alexander played in this year.

These parents jumped the gun and couldn't wait to cash in from how I read it.

Alexander has played in 28 games this year BTW.

Does this mean KU has to forfeit their -32 point win against UK this season?

Kansas has never lost a game against KY , they just played us at the wrong time or ran out of time .
