Every single game ever played had what ifs. If Robertson had his normal game it could have been a blow out. Why only the what ifs from the Duke side.
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many excuses for a team losing a game in November.
Seems like duke could lose 10 games and people will still talk them up for a 1 seed.

IF UK had hit a couple more FTs those other threes wouldn't have mattered.
Weird… seemed like he was in the game guarding Carr when Carr did this at 1:12, the biggest play of the game to that point.
It's a fair take to be honest, but to the flipside, if Kentucky dealt with transition defense and keyed in on Flagg's ISO earlier, they would've scored even more.
I do think we can kind think we are invincible since we beat Duke. We had some pretty awful stretches we can improve on. We did have some luck bounce our way.

It’s a lazy take and one the media is running with to defend scheyer. What if Jaxson Robinson gets more than 1 point, what if Kentucky doesn’t miss a ton of open shots also. Kentucky can play the what if game as well. Anything to not give Kentucky the credit I guess
Nobody thinks we’re invincible. There’s justified excitement throughout the fan base to see our team playing the UK brand of basketball we love.

Incredibly so, and biased to boot. It's fair to say given everyone healthy and both sides playing their absolute peak you think Duke would win, but trying to boil it down to one extra 3 and a guy not cramping... Without giving any credence to the opportunities the other team had to play better? Absolute joke of "journalism."

This is stupid. In every close basketball game that’s ever been played in history one can come with these “if” scenarios where the outcome easily could’ve been different.
So what? A loss is a loss. Quit trying to conjure up excuses and deal with it.

I think if we played Duke 10 times, they win 6, maybe even 7 of them. But we won this one.
If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas!
And truly, it's just a guess. He doesn't know. You know what I saw? I saw a UK team that was in the process of doing whatever was needed to win that game. When crunch time came, it was UK that was making plays and it was Duke's "phenoms" who were turning it over and dropping the ball out of bounds. They didn't even get a shot off on their last 2 possessions, not counting that heave at the end. So, let me sit with a couple UK guys and smile and say "I think UK would have won by 10+ IF they had just kept making threes like they were at the start of the game."

The guy who scored 10 pts in 23 minutes was not dominating, Rob. You can do the if this or that for every game. Dude comes off like someone who lost money on the game.
