They were 4/18 from 3. They were DESTROYING US in the paint. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to clog the paint and dare them to make some 3's. If they're destroying you in the paint AND making the 3's--well you have no chance and that's just life.

We were up until Covid-19 and the transfer portal.

The rest of the world has adjusted to the new model. Cal hasn't.

You could win with freshmen when there weren't 24 year old men in college basketball. You can't now. And instead of making the transfer portal and those grown men the priority--we're still banking on freshmen. And when the freshmen can't dominate the 24 year olds--well, you see what happens.
