February 13th, zero Power 5 conference teams

I'd consider the Big East and a power 6.

Yeah, got Xavier and Villanova with 3 in that one. They still gotta play and I'm sure both will take another couple losses at least before the regular season is over.

The Big East is overrated now that most of the big dogs have left. If not for the name, they would be considered a mid-major conference. They have a combined 3 NCAA titles in their collective history and none since 1985. No UConn, no UofL, no Cuse, this is not a strong league anymore. But Nova is a media darling as east coast bias continues to be strong. I expect the conference to flame out early again this year.

The Big East isn't what it was, but it's not overrated and has been better than the SEC even since they left. Football, sure, it's a joke. Basketball? It's worthy of being called Power 6. It also only has 10 teams, not 12 or 14 like every other league (except the Big 12). They have 7 teams who could get NCAA bids this year as well, although they will likely only get 5.
