FB Players Encounter Gator Fans Tonight

That's one of the most obnoxious things I've seen before from a fan. Sorry, I'm not being uptight about this one. It's just in our own players faces where they're resting before a big game AT HOME.

Probably a dumb question but do our guys stay in a hotel for all home games? I'm assuming ti avoid distractions?

That has to be painful... I bet they break their arms when they're babies, so they can do that freakish motion so easily....

It looks like Elbow woman and her off-camera friend were blocking the players from wherever it was they were trying to go. Ha ha ha! Look at me everyone! I'm obnoxious!

When we beat them today, I want one of these guys to find this lady in the Florida section and wave. Smile n wave, boys.

They usually stay at the Hilton at Lexington a Green. Has been their headquarters for game nights and recruits to stay.

Old hag looks like her elbow got bit by a gator. Classless. Gator fans feel entitled, time to humble them. SEC network talking heads picking the UF win.

What in the hell is this hotel doing letting Florida fans stay at the UK team hotel on Friday night? Ridiculous.

Hotels are about making money. I do not think they can tell if someone is a FL fan when they reserve a room online. This should be obvious, but to you it isn't I guess.

Guess I'm more interested to know UK stays in a hotel before home games than that girl's elbows. Kind of a statement of the times that a team has to be controlled the night before a game. I guess boys will be boys if they're not managed. That's always going to be true in any era.

It makes sense to stay at a hotel the night before a game. Consistent routine for home and away games.

Good point and a practical reason. However, if you were coaching UK, would you want Florida fans in the lobby messing with your players on Friday? Maybe they should choose a hotel that would prevent this from happening.

I just don't know how that is possible to predict where the opposition's fans are staing. I seriously doubt the players were permanently scarred by a little goofy FL fan smacktalk.

I wouldn't have ever thought our guys would be staying at a hotel for a home game. Now that I think about it, I guess it does make sense. It would be easier to keep an eye on kids and make sure they check in and are together the night before a game. Never really thought much about it, but I guess you learn something new everyday.

Unless they booked every single room in the hotel that would be impossible.
Or they could chose a smaller hotel. They probably book 50-70 rooms themselves for players, managers, etc. I don't think there is a perfect solution but there should be some sort of "security" to prevent this from happening, late night door knocking, etc.

Agreed, but what if goofy fan was more aggressive after a few drinks. You could have a really nasty situation occur. Just saying, there probably isn't a perfect solution, other than staying somewhere other than at one of the larger hotels in Lexington Green...
