Yes, and the story goes that Calipari pushed Wagner out when the young man wanted to return. But Cal's decision actually made Wagner a few million bucks. Had he returned, his constant and growing list of injuries would have hampered his draft status (some even suggest Cal knew about one injury but helped keep it quiet for Wagner's sake). Wagner's career culminated in a colitis diagnosis just a few years later.
