Lots of #1 picks never made the NCAA tournament, but most never played college ball. Mychal Thompson, Doug Collins and Larue Martin are the the most recent #1 overall draft picks not to play in the NCAA tournament.

Considering we have the #1 SOS and have lost our 3 games by 11 total points AND have 4 true freshmen who receive big minutes and produce, we will be in the tournament conversation by the end of the year. This team is young, but it is Fox's most talented team yet in Athens. Also, I have yet to see anything out of Vandy that leads me to believe they're better than UGA or USC. Maybe the test of time will prove me wrong, but as of right now, I don't see it.

#1 SOS? Who has UGA played to get that ranking? I haven't seen Georgia play a single game so they've amassed the #1 SOS without playing any top teams. Do you have a link?

Jones was an assistant at Memphis for 2 years and was then the interim head coach the year before Cal got there. Jones went something like 15-16, and then Cal was hired.

I don't know any other details but I do wonder if there's any bad blood over it. Interesting factoid if nothing else.

I just looked at Georgia's schedule. I have no idea where you got the bright idea that UGA has the #1 rated schedule, maybe your football team does but this schedule is far from the #1 rated schedule. Note there is only one road game played so far this season:
-Chattanooga
-Murray State
-High Point
-@ Seton Hall
-Oakland
-Kansas State
-winthrop
-Georgia Tech
-Clemson
-Robert Morris
