EspnU: Wake Forest leading at LSU

ESPN has finally gotten off Ben Simmon's family jewels. That team is going nowhere. Simmons could average 40 pts and a triple double every game and nobody would care....no matter how much the media tries to shove it down our throats.

He is being used somewhat like Royce White at Iowa St , especially against us in the 12 tournament . Put the ball in his hand and create but that is taking away from the team . They are not going to get better this way , it's just set up to showcase Simmons .

Say what you want, they will play to their full potential next Tuesday and will absolutely play their best game of the year at home vs UK.

It would be nice if UK showed up to play from the start and played their best when we know we are gona get LSU's best next week. We can still win the game if we do that.

Amazing that anybody talks about Coach Cal's lack of coaching ability when there are guys like Johnny Jones running around. This LSU team should be a force. Of course they will become the Globetrotters when they play us.

LSU loses 77-71. They hit two three pointers in the game. Hornsby will have that many the first five minutes against us.:grimace:

Ughh!

This does not help us. Now next week we will face a desperate LSU team (in a sold out for the only time all year arena).

They will beat us and then they will lose their next three games against lesser opponents and our loss to them will look really bad.

Such is the life of being the only blue blood program in the SEC. They will be up for us, then stink as usual afterwards.

If you can't beat Wake Forest with Ben Simmons and Antonio Blakeney, you need to hang it up.

The go to Vandy this weekend, so mark down another loss for them. That'll put them at 7-6 with UK coming to town. Honestly, I looked at this as one of our potential losses even when I thought we would go about 27-4 before the season started.

Now losing to a 7-6 team would be a major disappointment. Right up there with the OSU loss.

They will probably lose at Vandy this weekend....then lose to OU at the end of the month, probably lose at A&M....all before January. What a joke that team is.

They'll be 12-9 at best headed in February. They could be 10-11 though.

Suffice to say, probably SEC tournament title to get in the NCAA Tourney. The schedule may ease up after January, but they still gotta play @UK late which is a loss.

How many people are aware that Cal replaced Johnny Jones at Memphis?

I wasn't and I'd bet a lot of people wouldn't know that. LSU stinks, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Wake beat Duke in a week. Duke's a young team without much depth and Wake has a big man in Devin Thomas who could give them fits.

Blakeney is a poor mans Archie Goodwin. And i too expect Quarterman and Hornsby to hit at least 10 three's between them next week.

1. Kentucky
2. A&M
3. South Carolina
4. Georgia
5. Ole Miss
6. Vandy
7. LSU
8. Bama
Lol what? I think you got the Dawgs a little high there. And no wayVandy finishes lower than 3rd. The top 3 will be UK Vandy aTm. Probably in that order. Either way they'll be the top 3 in some order.

Has the #1 draft pick in the NBA never made the NCAA tournament?

Well my guess was going to be Michael Olowokandi, but it appears that Pacific was one and done in the tournament his junior year.

Maybe have to go back to Loyola's LaRue Martin in 72?
