ESPN/Dish Contract issues

Dish has the programming I want.

Hey man do you nothing wrong with it if it’s what you want. I will say though that they offer nothing more than you get elsewhere and the options are less than anywhere. To me Dish is for people that don’t really watch much TV and or it saves them money. And lately I’ve been hearing there’s no savings at all.

Also just trying to help if I can but you can do direct tv streaming free 7 or 14 day trial and it’s 69.99 after that. I’ve had to use it because YouTube tv didn’t get Bally sports where the cardinals are and it’s been fine. I’m going back to YouTube tv after baseball season though.
If you have Spectrum internet service in your house, you can log onto the Bally app using your spectrum internet log in info and watch the bally coverage. We watch reds and pacers this way. Don't need spectrum tv package just internet

I'm watching on ESPN+ streaming from my computer as a result.
I will not be on ESPN +. ESPN + is basically the non-revenue sports, some MLB and is basically the Sunday Ticket for the NHL. It does not give you access to the network stations. The game won't be on there if you are logged on with Dish or Sling logins. One of the posters above already confirmed that he won't be getting it because he can't get College Gameday.

Yea I’m in Tennessee I don’t think that’s an option. I’m just gonna switch back to YouTube tv and watch baseball on surge next year. Although Direct TV streaming isn’t very expensive and it’s been fine. I just really miss YouTube TV.

How does Bally's have it? They aren't part of ESPN.

not saying they have this game, saying you can watch bally app for bally stuff, was just helping the above poster wanting the cardnials games

I doubt that will help. You need to be logged in with your provider to be able to watch games on the app. I'm sure your Dish login credentials are no good either.

I would suggest trying to watch College Gameday and see if you can get that.
I'm in a condo on the beach which has Dish. But at home I have Spectrum so my ESPN app is working fine.
Go Big Blue

Yes, but only because you have your Spectrum. If you tried your Dish login it wouldn't work.

Out of curiosity, why do you have 2 different services. If you understand the ESPN app then you could use YouTubeTV or some similar service and it would work at both locations.

I don't own the condo in Alabama. Just spending a few days at the beach.

If it wasn’t for my daughter having YouTube tv I couldn’t watch and SEC today because we have dish and she walked me thru the process to use her credentials so I’ve got it now 🍺🙏🏽

Sounds good. I'm not sure if you were one of the people having trouble with the online game against Miami that was only on SEC Network Plus but that's exactly what you had to do to get those games. There will be 2 basketball games that are the same way. If you never sign out of her account you will be good for those games. Once Dish gets it straightened out with ESPN you can log out of her account and log in with you Dish credentials the exact same way.

Thanks for that info GT, I’m sure she will walk me thru the process again to get back on Dish 🍺

I'm subscribing to ESPN+ directly... not using Sling login.

It's really shocking how many people pay for ESPN + and have no idea what it is.

Disney which owns ESPN has up the price big time on dish what I understand. I have had dish for years seems like they could work something out. I found the game on U Tube.

ESPN+ is streaming and not on satellite. Will that work on my Roku?

itll work but ESPN+ only covers all the weird random conferences and random games they throw on there

it DOES NOT give you a blanket pass to all espn networks.

to access ESPN, ESPN2 etc you will need a cable, satellite or major streaming provider (Hulu LIVE, FuboTV, YouTubeTV)

I like hockey and am a Washington Capitals fan. Since I have it, there may be 3 or 4 games a year on NHL TV that I can't see.

I have Dish, and it's honestly been great for years. Know how to finagle the contracts to keep prices really sensible. But Def been looking around. Fired up a free trial of YouTube TV to watch this game and see how it goes.
