EPPS the Y

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1HD78Fv9Qf/ Doesn't get the press, but was a helluva player, quoted as saying "I didnt make millions, I made millionaires "
Epps was the straw that stirred the drink for that ‘96 team. Hate that he lost his last game to Arizona after hitting the clutch three to send it to OT. He sacrificed for that team after Anderson tore his ACL. Pitino moved him off the ball a lot and let Wayne Turner do his thing. One of my all-time favorite Cats.

Epps will always be one of my favorite Cats and PG ‘s. He was the straw who stirred the 96 team to perfection. I hope he has done well in life. He didn’t get to be the millionaire like his team mates but he was just as important as any of them.

I don’t know how he’s done financially, but his daughter was a 3x first team All-SEC player at UK and WNBA draft pick, so I would consider that doing well in life. I know any time my son excels at anything, I am fulfilled and content.

The original Reed Sheppard.
In that, it was obvious Epps should be our starting point guard.
But Pitino, for reasons, kept putting his boy in there instead.
Twist, that being Reeds dad Jeff Sheppard.
Or Chris Harrison for one game because, well, reasons.

I do not think I've ever seen anybody in blue feed the low post as well as Epps. Just ask Antoine Walker ... !!

I am sure his life is fantastic, just sayin I know being in his position it would be hard not to see your friends and team mates getting paid that much money. All while you were just as important to their success in college and didn’t get that same opportunity. I just hope he has lived a great life off the court as well.

Another example of the fact that a homegrown Kentucky boy that gets playing time is a necessary ingredient for a national title at UK. Jack Givens, James Lee, Anthony Epps, Cameron Mills, Scott Padgett, Darius Miller...etc. were all integral parts of national title teams.
