It is so silly to argue or complain about this. I love both programs and football is my favorite sport. However meager simpletons that whine about uk basketball getting the majority of the publicity must fail to comprehend the greatest that uk basketball has accomplished. Football on the other hand has not. I have faith in stoops but uk football has been below average for a long time. They have to change that in order to get more talk.

Until Stoops starts winning games the football program will not be a storyline with the media.

I too believe coach Stoops is the right man for the job. I've heard proclaimed football fans on here say if we don't go bowling this year fire him, his third year. What a bunch of Bozos.

Look, I am not agitating "UK football v. UK basketball" in this post, hell, write about the NBA championship, lots of people are interested in that. I understand the level of interest in UK basketball, but it is not just today's issue.

I am not kidding, there have been many many LHL editions since the season ended with multiple articles on the basketball team, players, their NBA draft prospects, high school recruits, etc. At some point, it really is just lazy reporting, find something else to talk about.

Tskware you are a good poster and I go way, way back. Much father back than the 2008 date they show . I was posting on the very first board, I think about 1994. For different reasons I changed my board name about a dozen times now. I love your passion for football and your post. I'm looking for a good jump with every facet of the team this fall. offense and OL defense(an area all players must excel at) and special teams.

Best recruit from McCracken Co. Central, very underrated is committed (athlete) 3* Zyair Hughes. Has speed and quickness, vision. He might not get a fourth star but you will see how special he is next year.

Maybe I missed those posts but I have to say I haven't read that kind of sentiment. There are many of us that have pointed out that the team needs to show tangible progress on the field this year in order to keep the recruiting pipeline flowing. Most feel that's a minimum of 6, preferable 7 wins.

Any one that suggest dumping Stoops has to be insane.

Well I've read them here not by the majority but some have been on here. They had to be because Mat Jones is the only other pro UK board I read and read is all I do. Wins will be up to our athletes fans and Coaching Staff !

Totally agree....Frankly, I'm sick of the hype machine on UK basketball at this point. If you can't win a title or even get to the title game with last year's talent, something is seriously wrong with UK's current system under Cal. I'm tired of the one and dones. Really sick of it.

I have no interest in next year's team at this point. I'm focused on football.

I understand being focused on football at the moment but you have to be talking tongue in cheek with the rest. At least I hope you are.

Hopefully this years squad will give them something to talk about. Us die hards get frustrated by the lack of football reporting, but that's how it will be until we start winning some games.
