What was the final score ? UK didn't feel like playing so I don't feel like looking up the score. I turned it off at the 7 minute timeout in the 2nd Half. Did it end up being a 20 point loss ?
Brea can't defend a fence post. Every time his man got the ball I knew he would drive on Brea.
20 point loss to this team…….remember auburn just spanked them by near 40 or whatever last wkend. Don’t care what happened in that game, gotta beat people you’re supposed to when league play is going to be like this every night.
I’m embarrassed for them cause obviously they were not by their body language. No one seemed to upset throughout the game to me expect Oweh.

Thornton got to the rim at will and had enough touch to finish a lot of plays. Our guys kept driving to the rim and throwing up junk. Got some foul calls which is why it was a 20-point game and not a 30-point game. Probably missed 15 point blank shots at the rim. Hoping it was just “one of those games” but definitely concerning because Ohio State is a bubble team at best. I’m not giving up though.
This is a zone team.

We got 10 days to work on something. Just pitiful the way we played tonight.
Yeah, he’s a terrible perimeter defender. One of the worst ever at UK IMO.
10-8 in the SEC and you count your blessings when you get it.
We will get destroyed in SEC play. Bradshaw was superior to our bigs. I wonder if Pope even tried to get him to stay.
Again, we come out sleep walking. I still don’t know who can be a good defender because there is so little desire at times to actually play with an attitude and get after people.
Amari looks like he has zero desire to play D. Butler has careless reaches when he has no shot at getting the ball. On ball pressure is terrible.
I am sure he is ripping them, but Pope just comes off so Kumbaya all the time in post games. Please show some nasty in the post game.

I hope the boosters see the need for upping the NIL fund. I love our guys, but this is not a Final Four-level roster, and UK will need to spend much more if we ever hope to bring in premium talent in abundance.
Team had Hamilton songs stuck in their heads. Definitely weren't there mentally or heart wise.

Good teams don’t lose by 20 on a neutral floor by a 4 loss team in Dec. This team lacks intensity which is on the coach. That’s the reason the rebounding is poor along with the defense. Looked terrible tonight running offense by an average team. Barely winning games over the last month. Not what you want to see going into the sec. Everything is trending down which is concerning to say the least. Not a good sign. Interesting to see how things proceed this season with our coach.
That's what I was thinking.. We will probably end up around 10 losses..
The SEC is stronger than ever this year and I'm afraid UK won't be able to hold up to the physical play every night.
100% outplayed. I know we will take our losses, but I didn’t think it would be because the other team just simply played way harder than us. Just plain and simple, smacked in the mouth for 40 minutes.
I just wonder if NIL has anything to do with the way we played tonight? Acted like the game just did not matter. I may be out on the limb on thinking like this ?
Seeding or polling is irrelevant. This team is not going to make a deep run. Might want to hope they get in first.

Embarrassing was the word I had in mind as well. No way we should be losing to inferior teams like Ohio state. Someone puts a little pressure defense on us and we wilt - that's a mental inferiority complex that these kids need to shake and do it fast.
We could have still won when Butler throws a simple pass to a breaking Carr behind him.

We had a bad game. Really bad. It sucks, but I don’t think it’s indicative of how we have played or how we will play going forward.
Pope recruited experienced guys with some skills but very average athleticism and very title quickness.
Quickness is second most important skill by after shooting.

I’m not embarrassed. I don’t play for UK. I’m just an alumnus but have been happy so far.
Tonight sucked but if you had told me we would be 10-2 with a cobbled together team last April…with wins over Duke and Gonzaga…I’d be giddy.

12-6 in SEC play. Sweet Sixteen. That is what I am thinking.
We will be ok. Never thought we were a top 5 team. Great early losses but we have issues. Quickness and in reality shooters. Brea is lights out but has to have clean look. Kerr is a loss for his intensity alone. He is a key missing piece. Get us in Sweet 16 and I am way proud of our first year.
What’s embarrassing is that we haven’t beaten Ohio State since this stupid classic started.
I checked out of the game early second half. Just not interested in uninspired basketball, nomatter who's coaching. Said from the start pope desrves a few seasons to get his system etc into place, but the effort tonight and in the past few games really makes me wonder about the short term future of the program
first off, Bradshaw was gone before Cal left and Im going to flat out just say it, OSU tampered with him and had him locked up . Every team now uses agents to let kids know how bad they want them to transfer there but technically its still tampering. He was never coming here for any coach we got or even if Cal returned.
This is the best Bradshaw has played in college period. He'll go back to average play for him after this

This coming out sleep walking sits squarely on the shoulders of Pope. As others have said, he's too nice, for whatever reason the guys aren't receptive to what he's saying unless they're down at half-time or something.
Brea is afraid of contact. He wants to be out there so he can shoot 3's, and is afraid of picking up fouls.
But.. but.. I thought this was a "defensive" team and that this would be our strong suit?
