Elijah moore pg syracuse uk contacts

Maybe a depth piece with Kerr expected to leave?

Pope does seem to be putting more energy into younger transfer options. This kid was a freshman this year so has 3 years eligibility. It seems like Pope is trying to build some continuity for the next 2-3 years.

Williams, Gwath, and Moore all have 3 years eligibility left.

Not a good sign if true.

How do you see it as not a good sign? Struggled big time this year, but he was a nice player coming out of high school. Hard to know what might have been going on behind the scenes.

Seems like we would be looking at him as a depth piece, and hoping for him to shake off whatever derailed his freshman year.

He did put up 24 at Tennessee in December, so maybe playing for a terrible team got in his head. Idle speculation, of course.

Because we already have Acaden Lewis for the backup point guard role, and Collin Chandler for the backup shooting guard role.

Where does this kid fit in? Do you think that he's willing to be our fifth guard? If so, by all means take the young man.

We will not have injury issues again next year. WE lost 2 PG last year. I would think a third piece would be much needed.

I’m not too hung up on who is the backup, who is the starter. We need a lot of moving parts.

I guess after the roster Pope put together on the fly last Spring, I don’t get quickly moving to something is “not a good sign.” Seems like Pope and staff have earned quite a bit of respect in talent evaluation and piecing the roster puzzle together.

I’m honestly just enjoying seeing what they can pull together with a little more time and preparation.

I also don’t know what Moore is willing to do. Don’t know how serious the contact is. I only assume that if Pope has been in contact, he envisions a role for Moore next season, and likely beyond.

You think he’s going to start this guy lmao

So it's gonna be unnamed starter, this guy, Lewis and perry at PG? No wonder KK is leaving. I agree he's not a starter but makes me wonder how Lewis feels about this and Perry.

Perry got 302 mins this year. If the above happens, he will be lucky to get 30 mins next season. I couldn't care less but we know some on here won't like it.

Will also say that Moore was listed as a SG coming out of high school, and I believe was being recruited by both UConn and Alabama.

Perry is not a point guard and did not play PG in high school at Lyon County. He is a move without the ball, use screens to get open shooter. He was pressed into service at PG this season because the guys expected to play the position went down with injuries.

Perry is never going to get anything but spot minutes if we want to be title contenders. And I love Perry. He’s a legend in this state. But he has no length and no speed… can’t defend at this level. And if he isn’t hitting shots he won’t even get spot minutes. Again, nothing against the kid. It’s just reality.

If he sticks it out at UK for 4 years I will respect him. If he chooses to leave, I’ll respect that too.
