Eli Cox is coming back for one more year!!!

I think the easiest solution is to just simplify the offense. The offense is making everyone think too much which slows down your ability to just play.

Also it seems having Coen on the field instead of in the box made a huge difference at least in the UL game.

I don’t know who we will end up with but it is a lot to ask for a new QB to learn this complicated offense and provide all the other aspects teams rely on their QB for.

Re Coen on sidelines vs press box. Think about it...in the press box Coen calls the play, call has to go to the sidelines then to Leary. Takes time. On the sideline, Coen's call goes directly to Leary, no middleman. Has to help the flow.

Coen's system is complicated, but a smart experienced guy in Levis picked it up quickly and could get the plays/protections called in 2021 without the playclock always under 3 seconds when we snapped

That was also with a group of seasoned wrs that weren't coddled from day 1. Last year the offense has the same slowness issue with Levis at the helm. The wr room badly needs some accountability.

Great news!!!

From what Matt Jones was saying about Eli having to call the coverages at the line for Leary, no wonder he struggled some times this season!!!

Leary was NOT the QB we all thought he was going to be!!!
Leary was good but I think he needed a quicker system to play under. He made some great throws in the Louisville game. He has alot of talent , just maybe not a good system fit.

I think that offense just had a lot of talent. NFL players off that team: Levis (already a NFL starter), Wandale (maybe the most talented WR in UK history), Ali (on an NFL roster), C-Rod (best after 2000 UK RB imo also an NFL talent), Kinnard (NFL backup), Fortner (NFL starter), they also had Cox (at his natural position), Horsey, and Rosenthal who are all pretty solid college players. That team also abandoned the wide zone after the first part of the year too.
