See the video of Sheppard's parents hugging him after the game? It said that Kentucky is truly a family. Hopefully he is good for the rest of the season. Him and Big Z scoring would make us hard to beat with Reeves, Sheppard, Thiero and Dillingham always there every game.

I dont know if they showed it on the broadcast, but later in the second half Edwards checked out on Saturday and the crowd went nuts. Cal just stood there, held his arms up in the air, and pumped his fists for like 30 seconds to cheer him on with the crowd. It was a cool moment.
Really happy for Edwards that he was able to have such an amazing game against a high profile opponent in a game we really needed to win.

I'd be happy with 12 points/game from Edwards moving forward. Maybe 10/game from Z.
My concern is what happens to the rotation when Tre Mitchell returns. It doesn't take much to screw up a good thing, especially with this team.

He had shown signs of improvement recently by playing within the flow of the offense and not forcing up bad shots. It was amazing on Saturday how every single one of his points came within the flow of the game. At no point did he force a bad/ugly shot that just luckily went in. If he keeps playing in the flow of the offense we become that much better.
Could be Magic Johnson's rafters account. Magic's analysis is always very astute.
How wild would it be if Edwards keeps this up, and therefore opens uo Reeves a little more, who has been the constant focus. You could see some runs with. Shep running the point, with those two wings fully clicking would be absolutely deadly.. and so long as the 4 and 5 (or 3 and 5 if Edwards is more at the 4) play well enough.. that's hard to stop.
Goose called him out for 0 rebounds in the lsu game after the Bama game while interviewing him lol, but the kid seems to be enjoying the game more and smiling. Hope his aggressive play continues cause we need him to keep hustling and being that all around guy.
