Eddie Gran

His title is Special Assistant to the Head Coach.

I don’t see Stoops hiring a dedicated ST coach at any point. He never has and never will. Louie Matsakis has been with the program for 7 years as the Quality Control for ST….he’s the guy with the grey beard and visor you see on the sidelines during the game. I’d cut him loose and move Eddie into that role. Eddie has 14 years of experience coaching ST between Ole Miss, Auburn and Tennessee.

DeGraw has the yips- similar to a catcher who struggles to throw it back to the pitcher. It happens rarely, but it dies happen. All mental, but once it happens, you owe it to the team to make a change. I sincerely feel for the kid. I’m sure it’s on his mind 24/7. But this has to be fixed. Most parts of the kicking game have go to be automatic, and ours hasn’t been.

We've gone through two and still can't get it done. It's unbelievable

We should probably just abandon the FG unit at this point against UL. Just go for it on 4th down.

Dean Hood should be unemployed any day now. He is a must get this off season. Those were the only years we've been good on ST's under Stoops.

I would be ok to cut John Settle loose and rehire Gran as RB coach and running game coordinator. Our running game was awesome under him. Then hire a passing game coordinator or let Woodard coach WR's and be the passing game coordinator as some have speculated he's been waiting his turn to be the OC.

The guy with the backward hat was Craig Navair, who also coached safeties. Bradley Dale Peveto was here in 13' as STC and safeties and left for LSU .
Navair is at SMU after stints at Texas and the real USC. Not sure about Peveto, he was a little older so he could be retired.

Found Peveto, he's DC at UTEP. Been there a couple of years.

After the daily bashing Gran took on here when he was OC I can’t believe people want him back. Incredible.

For what he’s been thru he’s entitled to do whatever he wants. Of all the issues on this team, he ain’t one of them.
.
What? For what he’s been through?

The guy made millions of dollars a here, I wouldn’t feel too sorry for him.

I've seen him on the field
I'm sure but Gran's not one of the 10 assistants allowed by the NCAA. My guess is all their QCs, GAs, etc are on the sidelines or in the press box, I've seen Drake Jackson too. Not sure if they travel with the team for away games.

I remember the offense that Gran had and ran when he was the HC at Cincinnati. It looked nothing like it when he was the UK OC. So one of two things must have happened in my opinion. Either he didn’t have the personnel to run that offense or Stoops made him be much more conservative.
